Mass changes at board level for both NFFC and NF Football Investments, presumably to pretend we aren't linked to Olympiacos should we both end up in the Champions League. EM no longer a person of significant control, with that transferred to a blind trust.

    Nonsense really.

Wonder why they have removed the other three directors?

  • 30 Apr 2025, 10:23 a.m.

It's really just another illustration of the complete breakdown in football governance, in the face of corporate exploitation of football.

At least we are not being mugged off with the sort of selling a fight on the basis of two men's fathers animosity being of global importance. 0r somesuch. What's that you say? The Champions league, the World Club Cup, the 'ship is more important than the league pyramid, kill the FA cup that is the beating heart of the game.....oh. Bollocks.

  • 30 Apr 2025, 11:12 a.m.

Nothing to see here. Editing ineptitude and now I can't be arsed.

    Carry on.

  • 30 Apr 2025, 11:21 a.m.

Interestingly, or not, Shayle, a wealth lawyer, is also a director of Girona FC, which is part of the Man City football group. (he's also director of another 25-odd firms, all registered to the same address in Cheltenham, including Pittville One, Three, Four and Five).

  • 30 Apr 2025, 11:25 a.m.

It's effectively the same "strategy" as City used with Girona to separate the clubs when playing in the same competition, so the link isn't a surprise. Although, apparently City were told at the time that it could only be a temporary solution.

It's not clear whether you can still stand in the tunnel of a club you, honest guv, aren't running.

It's fine as long as you as you only flozz on referees in one country.

  • 30 Apr 2025, 12:39 p.m.

Is flozz a synonym for flob?

(Not saying the chuff about new/old directors was boring, but it was this nugget that seemed like key info to me)

In Rainworth, 1984, it meant spit. That's what I meant anyway.

  • 30 Apr 2025, 2:46 p.m.

It's the Johnny Owen thing that caught my eye. I'm wondering if there is a removal of remit along with removal of directorship, as that may impact some football friends, and their media bookings.

  • 30 Apr 2025, 3:14 p.m.

    According to the BBC:

"Meanwhile, former Arsenal sporting director Edu is expected to be confirmed in a new global role within Marinakis' multi-club model in the coming weeks."

Which only reinforces that this is a group model and the clubs are fundamentally linked, so either say it's okay or it isn't. Paying lawyers to put a pretend structure in place in the name of independence and transparency is just bollocks.

The likes of you and me are only jealous*.

    * Not paid bunce to turn a blind eye to, or actively assist in, the corruption of the game, to the detriment of balance, fairness, and the sporting integrity established for over a century.

  • 30 Apr 2025, 3:20 p.m.

Is this a question for FIFA? UEFA? The FA? Tricky?

  • 30 Apr 2025, 3:27 p.m.

UEFA. It's their rules as I understand it.

  • 30 Apr 2025, 3:29 p.m.

Greetings now from Pittville North West 3!
