But we are 34 points ahead of Leicester and Ipswich with 10 games left, so you don’t have to check remaining fixtures to declare mathematical certainty.

Also Brighton still have to play City, so that reduces the target for MC for 5th.
And Chelsea still have to play Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle & us (& Fulham, which won’t be easy).
Theoretically we could need 2.5 pts / game, but realistically it’s extremely unlikely to be anything like that a) because a lot of the chasing pack play each other & b) everyone apart from Liverpool is pretty much as erratic as we have been of late; last 6 games:
Forest 2 wins, 1 draw
Chelsea 3 wins
City 3 wins
BHA 4 wins
Villa 2 wins 2 draws
Muff 2 wins 1 draw
Barcodes 2 wins
At present none of the others are playing significantly more consistently than we are, we have 5 points cushion over 6th & our final 10 games (though not easy cos this is the Premier League) are not as hard as many of the competition.
For us to need 25 points (2.5 pts / game) some of the others are going to have to win every game. Possible, but highly unlikely
If we are playing guesswork world, then I think that fifteen points (probably) gets the job done for no worse than fifth. On a quick wet finger I make our spread over the remaining fixtures around 12-18.
The club has lost their appeal on "the tweet" and it's been deleted.
Wow, that was still going on? Funny. Any implications to us losing the appeal?
We have to pay the 750k fine, presumably.
I laughed quite a lot. I am child.
It'd be "funny" if that took us into PSR-land again.
Unless we budgeted for second, we should be 'reet.
Do you have a time and date on that?....I don't use BBC sounds, but have a rewind link that might get it if it was recent.
Ah, I was listening to it in the car earlier. It was 20-odd minutes into the show.
EDIT: sorry, this evening's Mark Chapman show which starts at 7pm, I think. Monday Night Club.
Thank you...managed to catch this....currently going through the extended MGW section that preceded it. Basically Forest from the start of the programme.
Thanks to you that is. Normal bbc fayre. Avuncular bonhomie from Chapman, all style over substance...dithering nonsense from Sutton, Shay Given is a goalkeeper, who I suppose at least we know has seen football from a good vantage point, and the normal collection of rabid press opinionators. Little in the way of football, Nothing on why these players are good, or even doing well, or any real insight on future prospects. No new knowledge or information. Just the normal "oh look', say what you see, run of the mill content.
