No surprises that Ingo likes the Hoodie Man.

And the inevitable question is: what trainers was he wearing?

    Chicago: fashionista.

We used to regularly go to a pub in deepest darkest (Etwell) for food on a Saturday afternoon. Quite good fun watching the misery as they turned up after attending the latest humiliating match.

What's everyone doing about 5 tomorrow? We're long overdue a TB meet up.

    More stuff on Nunoball: www.skysports.com/football/news/11727/13303034/nuno-espirito-santos-nottingham-forest-have-covered-the-least-distance-in-the-premier-league-8211-but-heres-why-it-helps

Nothing that's going to surprise anyone on here but I found the comparisons and how much of an outlier we are interesting. If we do get into Europe, it'll be interesting to see if we can continue to avoid injuries while playing twice a week (and, potentially, some longish flights, which isn't going to help).

Yes! We have used all these venues. Like a pub. It was the seven wells I was referring to specifically in this regard.

It's a long way to get taxi's. Talkback meetups are best not driven to.

I find it bizarre when watching other teams now to see how inefficient they are. Brighton last week really loved tapping the ball around in front of us, racking up their possession stats and very occasionally doing something dangerous with it.

Meanwhile, our tactic of "going up the other end and trying to score" when we get the ball seems almost revolutionary.

There was a few games at the city ground last season when the teams took turns having ineffectual possession in front of each other's set defence, before losing possession one way or another (Brentford, I think was one) and I just figured that was what mid table premier league football was nowadays.

It's great that Nuno (and, to be fair, Iraola) have torn up that approach. Will be interesting to see what that means next season. Although Leicester winning the league didn't have any significant effect on the approach of the wider league.

We had this discussion last night, along with the tactical/running injury benefit. I wasn't aware of that article then. Feel cheated by my football friend that they must have been, and didn't quote the source.

But there is a fundamental philosophy conundrum at the root of this discussion. English football was historically built on the premise of teams going hard at each other. Getting the ball, and trying to score. Rather than the more technical/tactical continental Spanish dancing. Not putting the ball at risk. Minimising excitement.

So now the foreign takeover of English football is broadly complete. The wealthy owners have taken our hard established exciting community brands, and Spanish dansified it to maximise revenue streams. Crippling exciting football with officiating, bias, and financial restrictions to ensure that the big brands prosper.

Right now, the occasional old exciting type football, where teams actually attempt to meet objective one throughout the match, can find a small niche.

But they will try to crush it. Because it levels the playing field and makes games competitive.

The best game I've seen for many a year was the Forest Liverpool game recently (I didn't see it live). Two teams picking the ball up, and actually trying to score, or stop the other from scoring. A proper shootout (rather than a Paso Doble, or even worse a gentlemen's excuse me).

I'm not dead interested in people poncing around for days on end around the half way line, waiting for the oppo to fall asleep, so that a goal can happen. It's just not what I'm in it for.

Will be interesting to see how long they let jumped up little teams level the playing field with old skool actual fun football, before they shut it down to protect the inherent financial advantage of the established brands global revenue streams.

Not seen it but apparently a really poor decision. Should have been a yellow at worse.

McDonnell PotM again, as Colchester beat the L2 leaders.

Just saw it on Sky. Cambridge bench reaction got him sent off - worse than Brighton v MGW.

I'm confused. He's playing for Lincoln but the Lincoln bench got him sent off?
