I think we have a fairly combustible environment, so sometimes we see explosive progress and other times we blow up.

Did we ever actually buy the freehold?

Not yet, but I think we've effectively reversed back to square one, so we need to know what we are doing / where we are going before committing to such things.

I'm starting to think the way forward is as suggested on here by someone previously. Rotate the pitch 90°, rebuild the entire thing. Probably have to ground share with Nottz for a couple of years.

    Is the right answer.
And fcuk the Main Stand - the Exec is no longer fit for purpose (concourse entirely unsuitable for the number of fans) and surely the Exec car park isn't that much of a cash cow that we can't start building on it while the WFCG remains open.

Not sure we've even found a new home for the boat club yet, have we?

How many years ago is it now since, "we will definitely be breaking ground in the summer"?

They didn't specify which summer they were referring to.

We might have but not allowed to talk about it.

Council agreed everything last July. Over to the club now.

I thought we couldn’t do this as the pitch would run the wrong way?

I've heard that but how can it make any sense that NW/SE (roughly) is fine but NE/SW is a problem? Something to do with the occupants of the BC stand having evolved sun-resistant eyes?

The goalie at the new lower exec end would have the sun directly in their eyes a lot wouldn't they?

Like anyone running a football club gives a fuck about the football...or the fans. Lol. By the time they get around to doing anything matchday fans will have been completely disenfranchised, and the 'atmosphhere' will be provided by AI imposed over the gambling feeds. Just leave it how it is. It will be useful for the community pheonix club when the current nottingham forests relocate to dubai.

Showing a lack of ambition there; if the new Trent Bridge End doesn't leave the pitch in shadow from midday onwards we can just close the roof.

Tails says we have a clause in Aina's contract for another year if he reaches a certain number of appearances (that he is already close to)

If it's just a clause to extend his existing contract for one more year he might be a bit pissed off. You imagine at his age he wants a pay rise that reflects being in the top 4 and extra years at that higher rate.

Well. He signed that contract. Take him back to then, and he was happy to. What an opportunity we gave him (it turns out)! I imagine he's at the top end of expected (his and ours) achievement and likely to benefit from bonus structure as a result.

That sort of structure of deal is good for retaining players you might want to keep. The alternative is a very good, very happy, player who can piss off to pastures new. There is no perfect player contract, because they depend on outcome. One of the strengths of the current ownership is that they know the game and how to structure things.

We can make him happy by agreeing a good deal, and if he doesn't want to we retain some value if the clause is triggered. You want to get some value out of player contacts. Not give them all arters. This seems to me to be a happy position to be in, both for club and player. It means things have gone well.

This would seem to be cause for praising the contract competence of the club.
