Feels like a good time for an in-depth piece on Forest as the likeliest scenario is that this is the high water mark of our season. After we've lost to Liverpool and drawn with Southampton, there won't be as much demand for these kind of articles.
Couple of throwaways in that piece - I'd forgotten that we started the season with Nico at right back and Ola on the left. Shows how versatile the two of them are. And Benoy have been by Foster and Partners (presumably as in Norman Foster, although I'd guess he's not closely involved) on the interminable stadium rebuild. Clearly the fall out with Cartledge was more serious than painted at the time.
I was told on reasonably good authority last summer that he'd annoyed the owner with the way he'd handled the City Ground lease situation, and would soon be off. He was gone by October.
The club went hard-in on the council with its proactive comms, which seemed an interesting tactic at the time and would have been entirely at the behest of the chairman presumably. Ultimately backfired. Interesting stories about the way he conducted himself in meetings, too.
I'm starting to think the way forward is as suggested on here by someone previously. Rotate the pitch 90°, rebuild the entire thing. Probably have to ground share with Nottz for a couple of years.
