While I don't disagree at all, the technical and athletic standard for a fullback is significantly different from that of a particular type of centre-back.
I can't think of the last time that I liked every single one of the first team squad this much and would be sad to see any of them leave.

Of course. It's completely impossible to compare different players, with different skillsets, and different jobs. This is why when people say things like "Messi is the best player in the world", I say things like "Not at centre half he isn't".
I don't disagree with Russ that the upgrade at centre half has been a, maybe the, key driver to our improvement. If that's the criteria its a shoe in. I'm just making the point that for me the player of the season is the highest standard and contribution from their position. Aina, at this stage, is in the conversation for me.
