The podcast that it links to is a bit of a sad listen (I didn’t manage the full 2.5 hours). No introspection, no sense that he’d do anything differently but he’s apparently desperate to get back into management (Fawaz’s payoff must have run out).

I see we've increased the number of cunts of the board.
Pro: having a board member with strong connections to the party currently in Government is useful
Con: he appears to have spent a lot of his career deeply enmeshed with the gambling industry

Cartledge leaving was announced a few months ago wasn't it?
He was relieved of his duties as Chairman but he remained on the board.
Could this be to do with avoiding a possible conflict of interest, if his firm gets a big contract to sort out the CG?
Think it was more to do with the owner perhaps not being too enamoured with his handling of the City Ground lease negotiations.
It's almost like he might have had his own agenda.
