In more cheerful news, this is a nice article by Paul Taylor about MGW's impact this season.

That makes more sense to me than the oft-cited 50M.

I was there. Always assumed most on here were.
No idea what was happening so it just looked like crowd trouble. Though I do remember when we got in the ground, likely just after 2, saying that it was strange the middle bit was so full when the outer bits were virtually empty. Always thought if was obvious to fans should've been obvious to authorities. But they didn't really give a fuck I guess.
Makes me nervous in big crowds where there's no obvious way out.
I spent the afternoon playing for Leicester Hockey Club against Leicester Westleigh (I think). Can't remember who gave me a lift home but as I got in their car I said that I wanted to avoid the score so I could watch MOTD later without knowing. Before we could turn the radio off we heard the words 'multiple deaths' and listened in stunned silence.
I remember the worst part of that, wasn't the riots by the Scouse but being unable to help. It had been just a few months since the Kegworth Air Disaster and I coped with that just fine by carrying and helping the survivors and the dead. This time were were prevented from doing so and I think that's what affected me personally the most. My older Brother got hysterical and I had to slap him so it did effect a lot of us.
They still caused it though...
Chicago: Former Paramedic.
This is the same for me. I didn't go as it was my A levels.
Yes I was there, and I know what you mean re nerves in crowds. I also remember leaving Highfield Road 12 months later (League Cup semi) and feeling pretty edgy as we were channelled through a small passageway - I recall being lifted off my feet. And then a similar experience at Wembley v Man U in 1992 when they didn't open the gates in our section as we tried to leave on full time. It did take a fucking long time for even basic lessons to be learned.
I could’ve written this exact retelling as it was also my experience. I really remember the ‘you scouse bastard’ chants from our end which were probably half an hour into the whole thing because nobody deemed it necessary to tell the forest crowd what the hell was going on.
I also remember that it was really scary in our end way before kick off - the crowd was surging up, down, left and right and I was pretty worried about getting crushed into the barriers or being pushed off the terraces onto the steps which were quite a drop down. Little did I know.
That was supposed to be a quote of JR’s message but I must’ve pressed reply instead. Anyway, what he said.

£570 for me, so more than £100 (22%) up on last season.
£850 for me. No idea what it was last year, started with a 6 I thought. And daughter now adult not youth so that's a chunky increase.
Anyone have the table of last year's prices?
Pretty expensive for Championship football...
£500 for me, less about £50 for the two tickets I sold on ticket exchange. Can't recall how much it was last season. Probably about the same.
Waiting list is already over 10,000 though. That's impressive.
So mine was 660 last year, 850 this so 29% increase.
My parents senior ones were 470 last year, 650 this year so a Whopping 38% increase. Guess like other clubs they want those old folks out.
Artificially boosted by the Pro members (4000?) automatically being enrolled I think. But yes, still impressive.
I think times are changing though. Not speaking for all seniors but my folks are certainly more well off than their parents and most who would pay more in the working age bracket.
Quite a hike though.
But do feel some enjoyed very low prices for quite some time.
