I thought it was a semi-decent dad joke but all of the other top 10 were much better.

India had just successfully landed the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on the south pole of the moon. Gripping footage of the control room in the minutes leading up to the landing was shown on BBC iplayer. Meanwhile, BBC1 continued to show the local news, and ITV1 is captivated by today's racing at York.

Is it just me, or does that betray a certain lack of perspective?

My sister knows her pretty well and I know of her. She has money behind her which no doubt played a huge part in this ridiculous outcome.

I thought this would be outcome when her lawyer went down the sob story route of how her life had been ruined and went into hiding etc. all totally irrelevant to punching and kicking a horse but bound to work with a jury.

    Good old British justice eh.

Oh go on then. The police can have a go at some law enforcement. Say the tories. (no indication of it being adequately funded, or where the personnel will come from)

(9 doesn't work either but only if you know that the "Nationwide" building society was formed as a merger of local building societies which I'll accept doesn't kill the joke for most people.)

I would argue that it still works if you know that, because it's a joke.

I see that some, quite a lot, aging crumbling schools are so dangerous that they have been immediately condemned.

No doubt they will be replaced with new ones, like the new hospitals. That is completely made up and imaginary, and not properly scrutinised.

The RSPB has apologised to ministers for calling them liars. The ministers in question have not apologised for lying.

They have left the original Liars tweet up which was brilliant. And it’s a great passive aggressive “fuck you, you lying wankers” apology basically saying “we have standards which you clearly don’t.”
