Have you seen the various angles of this? There isn't any suggestion at all of him brandishing, much less firing. He's pinned down by multiple agents with no ability to free his arms. He is then executed. It's not really debatable.

That's not what I saw from Bellingcat at all. Apparently the gun is notorious for going off without the trigger being pulled too.
Gun taken away before the first shot was fired.

This destabilisation is going really rather well. Good work comrades.

  • 25 Jan 2026, 7:28 a.m.

Ah that’s good (well, not good, obviously) thanks. I read something second hand that gave a very different impression of what Belligcat said.

  • 25 Jan 2026, 7:39 a.m.

He’s stood in a photo, phone out filming with his hand up, protecting a woman from the thugs.

    Then he’s shot.

No sign of him holding a gun from what ive seen.
Cold blooded murder and the predictable response from Trump and fellow cunts.

Isn’t armed, masked agents of the state executing civilians (a nurse, no less), what they say the second amendment is for and why Americans need ridiculous guns?

  • 25 Jan 2026, 12:52 p.m.

Yes, and the fact that they executed a straight white veteran-loving male with a legal carry on the street in broad daylight should be the turning point for even the most fuckwitted of American Conservatives, but far too many of them don't even have the capacity for that level of critical thinking. Instead they're bleating about him taking a firearm to a protest, conveniently forgetting that they vigorously defended Rittenhouse for that exact thing.

  • 25 Jan 2026, 1:06 p.m.

There's no possibility of right wing Americans seeing those two things as equivalent. Rittenhouse was "protecting property from protesters", Pretti was actually protesting.

  • 25 Jan 2026, 1:10 p.m.

I don't think there's any point even arguing with the right about this stuff any longer. The leaders distort the truth and the masses lap it up. It's very "Don't look up".

They killed a libtard beta cuck who does a girls job and wants America to be Somalia, you mean?

I saw Kirsty Noem’s remarks on what happened and the fact that they lie the way they lie even when there is video just shows the extent to which there are distinct media universes. The people she’s lying to will never be presented with anything that contradicts what she said.

That said, there does seem to be some reason to think that the ICE brutality issue is breaking through. The on-the-ground protest activity in Minnesota is huge, you’ve got some of the regime’s useful idiots like Rogan speaking up, and, anecdotally, I’m seeing people who are usually pessimistic saying that the tone of discussions on and offline has shifted.

Lots of last minute protests in other cities too.

  • 25 Jan 2026, 4:29 p.m.

We ran into a Chicago ICE protest yesterday and it was big.

We were actually going to a restaurant for our anniversary and I thought there had been a shooting as there were police absolutely everywhere.

I would like to point out that I abhor guns but I think we need them now. The sad reality is these fuckers are above the law and not one of have them have been prosecuted. It will only get worse.

We have been practicing shooting guns. Mostly shotguns and pistols. And my opinion hasn’t changed. They are still really scary. But, with ICE kicking in doors without warrants and without accountability we have to protect ourselves. Will it end badly maybe, possibly but what else can we do? Hide inside and hope that they don’t come to the doorstep.

I hope that there are elections and the politicians grow a backbone and do the right thing but too many enablers won’t because they profit from this. We are reaching critical mass. I hope the good guys win…

    Chicago: Making arrangements.

Probably not going to happen, while the majority keep swallowing the shit, and voting to take us down with them.

It's going to take a lot of pointing and shouting to turn it around. 'Hoping' isn't going to get the job done.

  • 25 Jan 2026, 4:42 p.m.

Arming yourself seems more likely to provoke than to protect. You’d be better advised to get the fuck out of that country asap. That’s what I’ll be telling my son anyway next time i talk to him.

  • 25 Jan 2026, 4:47 p.m.

Rittenhouse crossed state lines in order to shoot protesters.
Pretti carried for self-defence and still showed zero intent to use it when attacked by pseudo-cops.

We've all got govt machinery for lying these days. The US is just further along. Might sound weird, but the UK should be grateful for having an incompetent/compromised govt that isn't likely to go on that route.
My govt lies about everything, but 2 degrees of separation means action is unlikely to follow. Beats, they can win with this volume of small lies.

  • 25 Jan 2026, 4:58 p.m.

I love shooting guns and do it every opportunity I get. But there's a big difference between a fun couple of hours blasting holes in bits of paper and pointing one at another human being.
