Another ICE murder in Minneapolis and this is somehow even worse than the previous one - it's a straight up execution of a restrained civilian by a group of masked militia.
Obviously don't watch this if you're going to find someone being executed traumatic (you don't see anything gory):
They're already spreading "but he had a gun" across social media as mitigation. Well, yeah. This is America, you literally run for public office on the strength of the right to do that. Cops take down armed offenders every day without executing them in the street.
Unfortunately absolutely everyone here knows that Trump is looking for an excuse to cancel elections. This is the quickest way to provoke the populace enough for them to make it happen.
We have to keep it together until November which is going to be very very hard.
Telling that the 2A crowd are all “they should have complied.”
I’ve been staunchly anti-gun for years, (despite knowing my way around them thanks to cadets/hunting) and this is making me come over to Chics way of thinking. Fuck it, even my students have guns at this point.
No idea how I'd handle any of this if it happened here. But I'm not convinced "compliance until it ends" is going to work. They can just say it's State of Emergency and it will be supported by far too many people of influence and power
I'm anti-gun, fwiw, and it's still absolutely sickening that the NRA etc are silent.
I can’t find where, but apparently there is some video analysis from Bellingcat, not an outlet that would push a regime-friendly line, that suggests he may well have fired a shot first.
Have you seen the various angles of this? There isn't any suggestion at all of him brandishing, much less firing. He's pinned down by multiple agents with no ability to free his arms. He is then executed. It's not really debatable.
