Did I ever mention the time I blagged my way in to the directors lounge at Pride Park after thier home game with Leed, before a Bluetones / Mondays gig at the arena with the then Mrs. Seán and enjoyed the hospitality offerings while talking shit (nodding and blindly agreeing without the faintest clue, mainly) with various corporate sponsor suits and the like?

Still to this day I have no idea how or why that happened. Anyway, didn't get banged up in chokey for it.

    Agreed. Very very excessive.

    I would say that though.

Clearly hasn’t helped the idiot has shown no remorse (at least pretend) and represented himself in court.

I was showing remorse instantly in my case, so does that mean I'm probably OK?

Apparently a possibility that Reform could take control of Nottinghamshire County Council. Results starting to come in.

Not suprised. People are pretty unhappy and love to believe there's an easy answer (get brexit done, stop the boats, etc). Our local candidate's flyer was just a series of bullet points of populist talking points, so it's easy to project solutions on them, even though they aren't offering any (their manifesto in the general election was a bunch of spending commitments and tax cuts, which is great if you aren't going to get elected but might prove difficult in practice)

The reform candidate standing in our local council election was in my son's year at School (he'll be 18 or 19 now). He's as thick as mince, an absolute donut of an individual. He didn't trouble the GSCE scorers in any way, and rarely left his bedroom. His pamphlet said he'd always had a passionate interest in local politics. The photo they used on the pamphlet was taken at the school leavers do, when he'd have been 16.

I mean seriously, imagine looking at that cunt and thinking "that's the chap I want looking after my local interests". People deserve everything they get.

    Found it in the recycling:

    Quoted message:

    Road Maintenance
    Affordable Housing
    Farmer's Inheritance Tax
    Solar Panels on Farmland
    Knife Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour
    Safe & Clean Town Centres
    Homeless Veterans
    Fuel Poverty

Nothing about what they actually intend to do about any of those (or even which ones they are for and against).

A good chunk of those have nothing to do with local councils do they?

Out of 29 seats so far 15 Reform and 11 Tories.

As expressed above Reform have no policies, people seem happy to just believe they are something new and therefore worth trying. I guess we're about to find out exactly what that looks like.
