Which suggests that the ticking clock element of the news coverage about when they run out of oxygen is somewhat optimistic (notwithstanding that, even if it hasn't failed, they assume that none of the inhabitants has done a similar calculation and reduced the number of breathers to extend the length the oxygen will last).
