In fairness the old testament is full of some pretty extreme shit.

Bob Johnson, the father of a primary school student in the Davis School District, told CBS News that he opposes the Bible's removal.
"I can't think of what's in the Bible that you would have to take out of it. Its not like there's pictures in it," he said.
It’s pretty funny that someone has clearly reported the bible to make a point about censorship and the board has gone “yes, fair point, we’ll ban that too”.
"Only following orders" is uncomfortably amusing when the boot is on the other foot.
It's a really interesting example of where the drawing of lines always leads to problems at the margins.
Free speech inevitably leads to discomfort. But it's better than burning books and retarding everyone, including yourself.
Free speech absolutism doesn't really exist. Especially when it comes to kids.
Utah doesn't really do old school christianity as it is a Mormon stronghold and they love to indoctrinate loads of young girls and marry them off young usually to the same person (probably a middle aged white man) so he can rape them legally and then have loads of children and then put them to work. Unless they are girl babies and then he can sell them to his cousin or something..
Banning the bible in itself is probably the right move because it's a work of fiction and usually people who haven't even read one page usually use it to attack gays, trans and immigrants and or blacks. It's use is evil because it is a tool for organised tax dodging religion. If only they had banned it for the right reason rather than some idealogical or religion reason which is kind of hilarious if it wasn't so fcuking scary.
My fictional book is better than your fictional book!
Americans. Hatstand the lot of them.
Chicago: Trying to keep a low profile.
That's what's interesting for me. Do you draw your lines on free speech, or do you extend protection (you could call it regulation) to kids, through the law, provision of societies services, teaching, guidance, and parenting?
Your major problem is that there is some speech that society requires to be free in order to prosper, yet may damage kids.
At that margin, wotchagonna do?
Technically your fictional books are Tricky’s at the mo.
You are all monsters...
Chicago: Soon to strike fury from the sky! (hopefully it rains...)
TBF I imagine they make good insulation, storing them in the attic is probably doing tricky's heating bill a load of good.
I imagine the squirrels appreciate the nesting material as well.
The news of the Telegraph being sold is shown prominently in the Guardian, Times and FT.
I couldn't see it in the Telegraph.
Chic should have used that argument when his mum(?) wanted rid of his old 2000AD comics / Grot mags from her loft.
Clive Tyldesley is resigning from his commentary job with TalkSport because he objects to being asked to promote betting companies and odds.
Major police incident in Nottingham apparently.
