Generally I find footballers a highly admirable and likeable bunch. Much more so than the average member of the general population. Our Joey is on a one man mission to prove me wrong.
I'm not actually convinced he does much to further the cause. It's a worthy campaign but you surely need to bring folk with you, and his posts frequently descend into not much more than 'fuck-you, motorists'.
Really? Vine's Twatter feed is video, after video, after video of his GoPro footage cycling around central London and pointing out motorists' errors (often at great length and clearly which must have taken a fair while to edit and clip). All they seem to do is spark online rows between cyclists and drivers, rather than either educating motorists or promoting his love of bikes - almost as if that's deliberate.
I find it slightly odd. All that effort for I'm not sure quite what reward.
I doubt he needs any of the money this generates, which means that's zero motivation for him. The bloke posts on the subject incessantly - he's plainly campaigning.
