I see that the tories move towards en-slaving the population continues apace. Latest move - people no longer qualified to determine whether you are ill: Doctors*.

    * not that you can get to see one under the tories anyway, and in the unlikely event that you do you are going to struggle to source the prescribed medicine.

I'm in broad agreement with the sentiment but if you add a lower age limit to this of say 25. Below that age statistically you are more likely to be so well so chances are you are fit for work but you just being lazy (if you are a dull sort) or hungover (if you are a more interesting type).

On balance I still think I'm more comfortable with doctors determining if someone is ill, or not. Rather than using one of your ill conceived formula's, you melt.

    No offence intended.

I'm lying to your face, in an attempt to provide you with that reassuring authentic Tory experience, that makes you feel all nice and fuzzy.

    I'm good like that.*

    * Yes I know. At it again. Talking of at it again, I notice that two Tory ex-prime ministers have been found to be in breach of the rules regarding reporting outside work. Again. It's like they can't help themselves (or they know that you wont stop them).

Medical diagnosis is increasingly going to be done by AI anyway.

There is another serious point about this - state support for SSP has been withdrawn so this is a cost to business with very little recourse - effectively you have to try and say that the person is no longer capable of doing the job and this isn't always easy - or comfortable - as most employers try and do right by their staff.

The problem isn't really the doctors - who I'm sure have a nightmare job assessing who is or isn't - they don't have the time to do full assessments, and I wouldn't be surprised if there is an element of being on the safe side. There are also web sites where you can download sick notes - realistically how would an employer know?

I don't know what the answer is, but I doubt it's Capita

So if I spend enough time championing my Guru endorsed formula with consistent messaging kids are going to start getting a diagnoses of "get back to work you lazy cunt".

I'm fairly sure that the generative learning model used to inform and develop a medical AI will not be using your musings on Talkback as part of its data platform.

    I'm not sure.

Sunak's new campaign seems to be informed by the "Toughen up, Princess" school of mental health diagnosis.
