I think Twitter’s inferno is all on purpose. See a Tweet that resonates from an informed poster that you might like more info on or to discuss?

Look at the comments - all blue tick AI bots regurgitating the main Tweet. Absolute shambles.

Twitter is a mess. But it has stopped a lot of momentum on discourse. Job done, I reckon.

    King Charlie diagnosed with cancer.

7.6 million people are currently waiting for treatment on the NHS, that's one in ten people. Sunak has today said he has failed to bring waiting lists down and is no longer promising to do so.

Of course, Charlie won't be one of them.

I mean… obviously that is correct.. but ‘Billionaire Literal King Not Like The Rest Of Us’ is hardly something only now becoming apparent.

If the government opened up waiting lists for palaces and spangly hats, he wouldn’t be on those either.

I’m avoiding the news for a while. Bloody hell.

Unless he pops his clogs, in which case I’ll be on there fucking rapid to find out when my two free days off will be .

I don't understand what the problem is. People get cancer every day without all this fuss, or prompt treatment.

If this one is no good, can't someone just take it down the canal with a bin bag and some bricks, and get a new one? It's not like it's hard to recruit to the skill set. After all, what does it actually do? Apart from as it's told, wave a bit, and carry cash back from the Saudis? Unless those massive fingers are actually evolution in action? Evolving for sitting on, waving with, and carrying massive suitcases full of currency, I assume.

I tire of trying to educate Russ on the Spice Girls hump index. How does one apply for this King job?

Seems that you are pretty well qualified, I think if the majority of us (or at least of those with the sticks) agree, then you are king.

Did Liz Truss really start or join a group called the Popular Conservatives? That's like me starting a club called the Tall Hobbits.

Disappointing to see Felicity Scully AKA Holly Vallance in attendance. I might have to say no now.

What you have to remember is that these people provide essentially none of the thinking behind what they are doing. If they spouted their nonsense in order to gain a groundswell of support, in the light of truly objective media scrutiny, they would attract no more serious attention than an alcoholic tramp on the streets. They are funded, briefed, and pushed forward blinking into the light, with the propaganda objective to desensitise and destabilise people against their anti-social idealogical ideas and agenda. I think this incarnation seems to be explicitly talking about environmental, human rights, and equalities legislation, 'holding us back'. So anyone with half a brain can see where they have come from, and what the objective is. But then it is quite bemusing that otherwise apparently intelligent people seem to be refusing to look at this sort of stuff objectively. Which is a bit of a worry going forward (and looking backwards at what has already been done to us).
