It's fascinating that the response to the American people clearly and vocally rejecting this administration's policies and positions is to double down on them from a much weaker position. I sense the next couple of months could be a bumpy ride.

Trump is going to need his Ava Braun when they are hiding together in the bunker..

    Makes sense to me..

It could work out ok. I dunno if Miller actually gets to do anything he couldn’t have done anyway (and anything he might want to do is now harder and subject to the threat of oversight) so perhaps all this does is give a big boost to the people trying to convince senior dems that ‘reaching across the aisle’ is the dumbest possible thing to be doing right now.

A bunch of lawyers have quit the DOJ.. presumably because they want to get as far away from the stink as possible.. not lean further into doing Trump’s corrupt bidding. Miller may be a ‘fight or die’ white supremacist, but there might not be all that many people willing to join him in his bunker.

He is moved into that position because now he can claim executive privilege. It will protect him and possibly/probably the president from having to testify..

That's why they did that... oh and the bunker of course....

Chief of Staff controls who gets access to POTUS, and given he's a narcissistic geriatric with dementia who has form for acting on whatever the last person he saw told him he should do, I think Miller in that position is not a great thing.

This particular POTUS answers the phone whenever Laura Loomer calls and will hang out with anyone who looks good on telly (even if it’s a socialist Muslim mayor) so I’m not convinced that his chief of staff will have all that much sway on that front.

Which is not to say that having a white supremacist chief of staff can ever not be bad.. just that it might backfire. Here’s hoping, anyway.

This is my hope too. To stand out as The Worst right now is horrifying, but he is not equipped to do the job well, and no-one going for re-election will want to talk to him, or be seen talking to him.

Miller as chief of staff slightly increases the possibility of finding 11 republican senators who’d convict in an impeachment. Not that they should go down that route unless they were pretty convinced the votes were there.
