A clever but meaningless publicity stunt.

Very cynical. Whatever your views on him he’s often thrown money at causes, both local and in his native Greece.

I’m not of the opinion he craves to be liked, history shows he’ll do what he wants.

Depends on the type of treatment they need. If it’s just emergency care, then it’s not costing him anything but if it’s something longer term, there may be a benefit to private health, if that’s what he’s offering.

Fair point if he's offering to pay for counselling for affected Forest fans

It's getting ridiculous now. Some people seem to think that you can't be a paedo and an admiral in the navy.

You may not be of the opinion, but he really does crave attention and want to be loved.

As if you didn’t hate FiFA enough

They really have zero shame. Also look who ended up on the FIFA charity board too.

Fuck, I may have to veto this shit show in this country now. Poor old Mexico I was looking forward to visiting.

Football has just got too big to be tenable at the top end now, the money and the politics is vile.

I went to see East Cowes Victoria beat Andover New Street at the weekend, in the Wessex League Premier Division, step 5 of non-league. There was a crowd of 155, a nice little clubhouse, a torrential downpour towards the end of the first half, and a lovely goal that would have graced any level of the game to secure an East Cowes win.

I don't think Forest will get relegated, I do think on this occasion we are too good to go down, but it really wouldn't bother me if we did.

I can live with my club being owned by a gangster. I can put up with the gambling industry and its evils and the idiocy it's imposing on the game such as VAR. I can accept the erosion of tradition to satisfy the needs of global broadcasters.

Giving Donald fucking Trump a global peace prize in the name of football might actually be the one though. This might be the point at which enough is enough for me.

I love the non league scene but still love watching Forest too. They complement each other for me. Yes there’s aspects of it I don’t like (but also is at non league too) but I’ve invested too much time and emotion on it for 35yrs plus to give up now.

I stopped going to (My Beloved) Melbourne City this season. Mainly on account of moving a distance from the city.. partly because the football is shit and the people running the league hate fans. I wondered if I’d miss it.. because the who ‘thing’ of going to the games was always fun… but I’ve barely even registered that the whole thing even still exists.

I can’t imagine that FIFA’s bullshit would put me off Forest.. but I’m already a distance down the road with being done with international football. Qatar wasn’t an aberration.. it was how it is, and if the people running the game internationally are happy to let FIFA give a peace prize to the man blowing up fishing boats for clicks then, y’know, maybe all I can do is pointedly suspend my streaming subscriptions and not watch their tournament.. but that seems like a thing I actually should, and would, do.
