So, they aren't going to exempt tourists visiting NI / the six counties from ETAs because it would be "'an unacceptable gap' in UK border security", but they aren't going to actually check or enforce these ETAs either.

Apparently, this is supposed to make sense.

If it works, below is a picture of one of the many border crossings near my childhood home. The change in tarmac indicates the UK/EU frontier.

Oh I dunno… isn’t it kinda cute that politicians think that a border, in the 21st century, is a barrier manned by a stern looking fella with a gun like in The Great Escape and not simply a the point at which the rules and rights of people and things change and only ever as strong as the will of politicians to monitor and enforce compliance therewith?

I see that inflation is down, predominantly because energy and fuel prices are down. The energy companies have made their hay, back to the bankers with interest rates now.

    How you doin'?

It's not a British institution any more anyway, though the Cadbury descendents still lord it up around here as if they're royalty.

Hang on: Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons Treatsize packs (14.4g) are being axed, and this is evidence of the end of an institution?

I see that the prime minister has been lying to the british people this morning, in order to undermine commitments to the environment and climate change, in favour of the oil and gas sector.

All perfectly normal in a country to be proud of.

The rich and entitled are spending too much on family holidays to disneyland.

So up go your mortgage payments again, to persuade them to cut back.

We should make him pay our mortgage increase. It's only fair.
