Today I shall be mostly playing Bob Vylan. As well as the 28Years Later Soundtrack. But mostly Bob Vylan. They are very aware and I'm pretty damn sure ready to take the consequences of speaking out about what they believe in. There is a lot of trying to conflate criticism of a murderous state with an attack on a religion. It clearly isn't. Trying to hide mass murder behind a religion is an utter disgrace but not entirely unexpected. Expect the Yanks doing even more of the God told me to do it in the near future.
But definitely Bob Vylan.
Maybe. But they are not the "same".
Three of the four are pretty unequivocal good for the economy as a whole though. The exchange rate is the exception, as it's going to make things worse for anyone exporting to the US, but that's also going to be the result of their lunatic trade policy, so improving things with the nearer market becomes more imperative.

Man works near a fridge!
www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1e0g376p7go
Thank heavens the BBC is still bringing us the important news, in a balanced way.
Hang on. Where's the counter argument that being near the fridge is cold and unpleasant. Was a reform spokesman unavailable for comment? - perhaps they are all on a training course learning how to explain that petrostates buying all our stuff is a good thing?
The rest of the BBC news today seems to be telling us to cook our pizzas in a frying pan.
I can't wait to move back to Thailand.
That might save you from some of this minutiae of local politics, but it won't help with the much bigger issue of climate collapse, which also isn't in the news except to complain if anyone raises a concern about it.
Climate's a lost cause isn't it?
Climate's a lost cause isn't it?
Not at all. There's a move to ensure that wealth have all the stuff, and AI and automated systems are in place to run the world with fewer people. Just need to finish off cowing and en-serfing the major populations, then the power holders can go about thinning the population without significant resistance.
The only way to make the world mid to long term sustainable, on it's current trajectory, is with less human bodies in it.
Looks like the plan is in place to me. You're just not privy to it.
I am glad that most people seem sensible enough to align with my own thoughts. Bob Vylan explained what he meant by that. Israel using anti semitism to hide behind mass murder is so unbelievably cowardly. It is possible to be pro Palestinian but anti Hamas and Pro Israel and anti Netinyahoo and their current government. The very thought of him being prosecuted for shouting out mean stuff about troops who are opening fire on innocent civilians seems beyond draconian. Maybe it’s made up in the press as most things are but the BBC with that story took me by surprise.
Anyway, most of you seem sane (which is scary) so I will continue to believe that the country isnt gone yet. Cannot say the same for over here but it’s a big place so we will see what happens when millions lose health coverage and access to food. My guess is more crime and in response more authoritarianism.

Haven't you just described a lost cause (to me)?
(Referring to Tticky's post).

Why, then, does the richest man in the world keep banging on about what a problem depopulation is?

Well, not really. The cause, of climate change, will be resolved.
There will be casualties.
But not amongst those in possession of the plan.
If you want a different plan, you are going to have to do something about it.
While you can.
You might want to bear in mind that they are well into the process, and have quite a head start.
Anyway, back to the news about stopping an entertainer saying hurty words about an organisation indiscriminately thinning out a population to see how it might work at scale.
Why, then, does the richest man in the world keep banging on about what a problem depopulation is?
You mean like "look at all the lovely sovereignty we will have", before removing your ability to influence the most significant decisions around your societies status?
If you have reached this point in your life and not noticed that people often say one thing*, and do the complete opposite, then we've got a lot of catching up to do.
* Particularly if they said the thing you might try to stop them.

If we are a net importer, from the dollar transaction world (and we are), it's a good thing.
It would be better if we are a net exporter, but we are not, and it's hard to see how we can be any time soon. Our best chance was with the financial services sector, but the Tories, at the behest of the Russians, defenestrated it.
