This Trump presser where he's addressing questions about the plane crash in Washington seems to have taken batshit to a whole other level.

The only way to survive the next few years is to see Trump as a kind of surreal comedy-drama, a sort of 'Monty-Python meets Succession' thing. If anyone insists he really is the US President, just use your piece of cardboard.

I kept telling myself that 8 years ago. It almost worked for a while, but then 2020 happened and holy FUCK. Absolutely fucking deranged.

Storming the Capitol was simply Trump's finest moment, his Parrot Sketch/Fish-slapping dance. If you try to rationalise his re-election after that, your head will just explode. Not worth it. You need to practice the art of self-delusion.

If Trump is just the front man, who are the actual people behind this? Surely someone has done an expose?

Who is setting these things in motion: drafting the executive orders and feeding him the tactics to cause chaos?

And are they really aiming for a dictatorship or just personal enrichment?

He’s not the Front Man. That is to say.. he’s not been put there by anyone. Him being there is all him, but he’s a beneficiary of many years of poison and general degradation in all of the institutions that should prevent someone like him getting where he is. Whether that is by design or not is something only worth getting into around here if you’ve got a lot of time on your hands.

But people are definitely telling him what to do. But not in direct terms, he is very easily manipulated because he’s thin-skinned and vindictive, and unshakingly confident in his own intellect. Tell him that something will annoy his enemies and he’ll do it. Tell him it will please his fans and he’ll do it. He’s obviously pretty racist, so very comfortable whipping up the mob on immigration, but other than that he believes in nothing but himself. Moneyed interests are lining up to use him for their ends and enrichment (the Project 2025 ghouls, his new billionaire mates etc). They don’t own him, but they can use him for as long as they, and their ideas, stay in his good graces.

He adores the "Trump was right about everything" thing, so when he says something idiotic and they scramble to justify it, he takes that justification and tries to make it real. See Greenland.

Appears Trump has signed an executive order saying the plane/helicopter crash was Biden's fault, so good to get that cleared up.
