Happy New Year one and all, fellowspazwits.

I had intended to see the new year in with camomile, ginger and hockey, (with brief forays into Talkback with popcorn on the News Thread) but was asleep after the 1st with Sens leading 2-1, just before midnight. So missed a 5-1 'romp'.

I feel this may be setting the standard for the year ahead and beyond. When I say 'set', of course I mean 'continue'.

    HNY internet friends.

Also asleep by 10, also woke up by fireworks at 12.

Happy New Year, my crazy chums. I too was asleep by 10.30 and woken by fireworks at 12. Well, I say fireworks, this being Norfolk it was three blokes with torches and a fourth shouting 'bang!'

Happy New Year, I was up still at that time but only because a couple of weeks off has fucked with my sleeping patterns

You could've watched a triumphant Sens batter Sabres, then mocked me for having missed it.

    What was the firework situation?

I could have done if I had any interest in hockey, although I can't claim to have been watching anything better I'm sure (Edit: I think I was watching Reacher actually)

plenty of fireworks, mostly around midnight but some a little earlier from people who clearly couldn't be bothered to wait

.... as a follow up, I found a nice opening line to an old blog. This asks more questions, than supplies answers, and in the absence of a 'meaningless round number' thread could also appear in 'things I spend too long thinking about'. Happy new year!
