    Liverpool 0 Forest 3
There’s talk of a title challenge but that soon gets nipped in the bud when we don’t win again until May (Arsenal 0 Forest 5) and we get relegated with six (bloody good) points.

The last time we started with a 3-0 away win was, co-incidentally, our last 3rd consecutive Premierleagueship season. Coventricity, 1996, Kevin Campbell hat trick as I recall.

It was a most gloriously splendid day.

We finished last with our 3rd manager of the season.

True. But still lightweight. Proper football grudges last a lifetime & are immune to inconvenient levelling up! [Newcastle, 1974 FA Cup, I’m looking at you. Also Leicester City & financial shenanigans that saddled the rest of us with crappy rules while they went into “fairy-fucking-tale” mode]

Update: It's definitely not Friday, it seems I was working with a slightly out of date news article, from 2017.

Wonder whether there'll be any pre-season fixtures announced before the actual season's fixtures.

All 3, the 1st, last and boxing day at home, must have heard me.

    Unprecedented. Very pleased.

    No.
But Olympiacos away, sometime around Aug 8th, is the current rumour.

Four winnable games in the first six should set a tone for the early season.

Just had a look through the fixtures. They look a little easier than last year. I expect we will finish 12th.

Bizarre. They should be similar to last season. I would have thought Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton are slightly harder than Burnley, Luton, Sheff Utd.

Don’t you love close season optimism?

Plus I hadn't twigged that the two "not winnable" games (Brighton and Liverpool away) will have new managers, so maybe a good time to play them.

So, 18 points from 6, top of the league, I reckon.

Second game surprisingly late, on 10th May. Maybe they, quite rightly, don't regard it as a local derby.

5 weeks until the 17th August and we're still playing at the same time as Notts. Going to make parking a bit difficult.

I get back from holiday on Saturday 17th, so I'm really hoping they move it to the Sunday ...

Notts have just confirmed their game has moved to the Sunday.

They have also moved their game on Sat, April 12, to the day before to avoid another clash and say: "An update on our remaining clashes on 19 October and 1 April will follow as soon as possible".
