Apparently Nuno walked away at the end of the game and didn't shake Howe's hand. Don't know if there's some kind of bad blood with them.

If there is, it must have been something that happened during the game. The Sky cameras picked them up ahead of kick-off on the touchline smiling and embracing.

I saw it on telly. Looked more like Nuno wanted to talk to the ref (possibly about only having 3 mins added on) and was preoccupied with that thought as he went into the pitch. Didn’t seem like an intentional snub to me but it’s never a good look and he really should’ve thought about it.

To be honest that was my first thought on reading Riss's post.

There must have been a startlingly inconsistent process at work to come up with only three minutes extra, compared to the other numbers we see. After all, there were actually some subs' (five), two goals (with checks and restarts), as well as actual in game incidents for which time should have been added.

Personally I was expecting around seven.

Like Nuno the overwhelming thought in my mind would have been to stomp over to the ref and ask why he was a fucking cheat.

I assumed it was only 3 minutes so they could get back to the studio to continue the wankfest over Man City v Poo.

watched MOTD 2 for the analysis. Seemed to me that the fucking appalling defending for their first goal was the catalyst. Was one of the central defence supposed to step out to Mylie? Was Gibbs White not allowed to move off the 18 yard line? Because he just stood there watching a goal happen.

The game underlined why we need a top class 6. It might be Sangarre. That's yet to become apparent. We have some really good 8s but no-one who seems to to be driven to cover the back 4.

I only saw it once on the TV at the time, but my thought was that Wood didn't move out quickly enough once the initial ball in had been half-cleared out the other side.

He seemed to remain rooted to the six-yard line with the rest of the back four which created far too much space for Miley.

What seems to have escaped everyone’s attention was that Bruno wasn’t passing to Miley. He just wellied the ball in and it fell to Miley and then his shot went through three sets of legs. The goal was coming but I would say the Geordie cunts were lucky in all aspects of that goal especially since Gordon shouldn’t have even had a free kick to begin with.

After that we fell apart by playing very very loose.

    Chicago: Discipline major.

We'd been pulled out of position. We weren't well placed to get to the ball. We then deployed that tactic pitch-wide rather than just in the box. Still, if the ref hadn't bought Gordon's dive (and he's a little shit for that), then we might have seen a very different game.

Morgan was in the edge of the area because he’s ready to break. That’s how we play.

And when the play is like that defenders usually get sucked towards the goal line. That’s how Chris Wood has scored plenty of his goals, finding that space.

Also from MotD2, kind of amazing that Deeney blamed Sels for their first goal - 10 yards out through a thicket of legs but didn't mention Pope's positioning for our first - way over to the right of his goal, as if he'd assumed CHO's standard finish was his only possible shot.

Deeneys a rent a twat. Talks a nice guy game but then comes across as a right disruptive cunt. Not a tactics mastermind
