It was a weird one. Could’ve been 6 down at half time yet we almost nicked something. And we were on the rough end of a fair bit of luck - deflections, dives, the bundle into Yates at the end - that on another day might have turned it our way.

Still think we’ve almost become a parody of ourselves though. It’s ok setting up to play in the break, but in 3 of the last 4 we’ve been really passive and allowed the opposition to just dominate us.

Nothing to do with the quality of the opposition?

The Mongs are out in full force now…

Did you read why I wrote that you swing dancing numpty. It was about PSR and that it was importantl we get something from this as next season the richer clubs can money dope the league even more. Also The Wildhearts are Ace.

Anyway, not my fault you are a bit thick.

First time I've ever seen a cat cafe. I knew they existed but walked past one near the ground today. Several of the cats looked like they wanted out to my untrained eye.

Anyone able to translate? It's important we get something from this game because next season Newcastle can spend money...? What's this game got to do with Newcastle next season? And how does that translate to thread title about "wonderland"?

There's one near me in Sheff. Little Miss Shady wants to go but it's over 16's only. Hell knows what the cats do once you're in the cafe.

You can see a kind of coffee counter through the window, and cats, but maybe that's the front. I'll endeavour to visit soon and find out.

Couldn’t resist the temptation to look up the term and was surprised to learn it comes from an American comic strip character popular from the 20s - 40s.

Par for the course for Chicago and his Americanisms.

I'm generally wary of US-isms, but I like "milquetoast". It's like we might usually use "wet", but without any other meaning.

If brown bread / toast is the death thread should milquetoast be the thread for people we thought were dead, but aren't?

I guess my milquetoast suggestion is brown bread then.
