It was a weird one. Could’ve been 6 down at half time yet we almost nicked something. And we were on the rough end of a fair bit of luck - deflections, dives, the bundle into Yates at the end - that on another day might have turned it our way.

Still think we’ve almost become a parody of ourselves though. It’s ok setting up to play in the break, but in 3 of the last 4 we’ve been really passive and allowed the opposition to just dominate us.

We need to find an option of being able to hold onto the ball and slow a game down that way. Trying to force an attack straight away, every time we get the ball is shocking when it's not working.

I do wonder if Sangare could be key to that once fully fit.

Yes agreed. We've gone from fast breaks to just hoofing it from the back. We need to actually use our midfield to control the ball a little more.

Oh course Yatesy makes a difference . Also he wound Bruno up like a clock. This is what I wanted. We were dogshit in the first half as Isak and Willock were electric. In the second half we started a bit rubbish but then sensed Newcastle were starting to become complacent. Newcastle’s defence if pushed are a bit rubbish. Aaargh very frustrating.

Anyway they were way better than us in the first even if got lucky deflections. We deserved to lose. Credit to the boys in the second. I wonder if Aina got a kick in the bollocks at half time because he was like a different player.

Well we are not Getting relegated so there is that.

A draw and I would have orgasmed. We didn’t deserve it though.

Got to get a grasp on that midfield.

Georgies have the Scouse on Wednesday whilst we have Arsenal. All still to play for.

    Chicago: Not entirely crestfallen.

Still fucking third. This season remains mental.

Someone else (me) needs to take control of the match threads going forward.

Wasn't Aina just left with 3 men attacking him first half as they flooded that side. Second half I assume we helped him and they stopped attacking as much.

Just like a turnstile jumping scouser. A reactionary twat. With Arsenal and Citeh coming up you are going to have to come up with something rather better than your milk toast bollocks you usually post.

Chicago: Mounting a second half comeback.

Second half CHO and Elanga switched sides, but it's hard to say how much of a difference that made and how much Newcastle just chose to sit back.

    Half-man, half-biscuit lyric.

Also it’s milquetoast. I don’t know why. Haven’t bothered to research further.

Couldn’t resist the temptation to look up the term and was surprised to learn it comes from an American comic strip character popular from the 20s - 40s.

Par for the course for Chicago and his Americanisms.

To be clear, are you accepting you've fucked up recently and need to hand the reigns over?

Clearly Alan Curbishley Thanks you for throwing out stability for chaos. Relegation awaits.

Has Chic on predictions got us to an undreamt of position in the league? Should we be making wholesale changes right now? Especially for someone who is unproven at this level and more used to relegation battles.

Nothing to do with the quality of the opposition?
