Well the news is that Citeh won a lawsuit against the Premier League (big whoop surprise that was) which now allows clubs and club owners to plow as much money into their club as possible with cross ownership sponsorship. This means that next season Saudi Arabia Utd will be able to outspend everyone depending on how they do their accounting.

So this season it's imperative that we finish above the Geordies in the league to get some sort of advantage before the money doping becomes so Donald Trump my eyes will bleed.

So the match itself. Newcastle are without Joelington which is very helpful as he tore us a new one with Isak at the City Ground. I think this is game for Elanga and Cho to be on the quick counter and of course we know what su-per Chrissy Wood did last season.

This will be a really tough game but we can definitely get something from this one. They are 6 points behind us. It's importanrt that we don't give them any momentum and we go back to shithousing and fast breaking.

I advocate the return of Ryan Yates in the midfield instead of Danilo. I am a huge fan of Barry but his tackling isn't really up to snuff at the moment even if his passing is excellent. Newcastle are a very physical side. Our Ryan is really good at upsetting people. Hopefully Nuno hjas forgiven him for the Muff game. Those two haven't been the best of friends since that unfortunate day.

I see a 1-1 draw but wouldn't be surprised if we won 3-1 or lost 4-0. I am going for a positive result for us as newcastle are schizo and might be excited about cup competitions or something..

Time for Nuno to come up with a masterclass. This could be our season definer. I think if we win then Newcastle fade. With Chelsea and muff with easier schedules currently they could be a threat. Having said that...the scouse are having a wobble so that means we are going to win the league...

Chicago: Still in it to win it.

Anderson and Dominguez, for me. They were the midfield base that anchored our terrific run of form.

Point of order, he has given the ball away alot since his return. Mostly under minimal pressure and in our half.

    Hopefully he's just rusty.

That is why I advocate Ryan to replace him. NOt sure why you would emphasize that when I called for a change in this game. Of course he's rusty. This is also not the game for him. Fester he would have a field day. Not against a monster Newcastle midfield (minus of course the excellent Joelinton).

So Anderson, Yates and MGW for me...

    Chicago. Misquoted.

Wrong. Guimaraes and Tonali are far too street smart for Yates. They don't get wound up by him and are skillful enough to effectively eradicate him from the game.
Anderson needs to make sure he doesn’t try too hard to demonstrate what they are missing and if Nico plays he needs to be stronger than he was in the reverse fixture.

If the thread title is a Wildhearys reference I'm on board.

0-3 the good guys. We all sing the Brian Rice song in a tribute to Ginger.

This is a big concern. He did the last time we played them. Hung onto the ball far too long and was constantly trying to beat people.

    Source?
As a point of order, Ryan was hooked at half-time at Muff. With the score 1-0.
Nuno changed formation v Brighton, it worked. Not sure any manager would have changed the team after that result.

I would very much like to see us return to the back four for this game. As others have already correctly pointed out we have been dominated by Newcastle in the centre of the park in previous games, and I don't think we can afford to lose a midfield body to have the extra centre half. Not to mention that the previously observed issues with not having ideal personnel for three at the back will likely be taken advantage of by Newcastle.

Bruno is a fiery fucker. He gets worked up quite often. Joelington is a man mountain and out shit houses the shithousers.. That is why I am glad he is not playing.

Have our Ryan kick him a lot and let the footballers football. Having said that when we won 3-1 last season Sangare played.

    Chicago: midfield maven.

I'm also in the robust midfield 3 camp. Might also be tempted to start Little Dom before CHO.
Feels like a 2-1 either way

Midfield 3 for me also - Anderson, Sangare and Dominguez.

Sunday kick offs in Newcastle should be banned. No fast train from Reading to Paddington until 8.49, so slow Elizabeth Line train. No shops open yet, so no coffee. Few trains running from London to Newcastle, so will be busy.

Anyway, better be worth the journey.

You'll turn up to find Shady already sitting in it regardless and avoiding eye contact.
