Does a feelgood factor make you vote Tory??

The theory is it makes you feel better about the country and more likely to vote for the incumbent.

I'm frequently wrong but I think people in general are mostly feeling positive about kicking the tories out and I don't think winning some football matches is going to change that.

Plus that mid point in a tournament is notoriously stressful.

I’m pretty sure they know that they are definitely going to lose heavily. The two best reasons I’ve seen for calling it early are 1) Sunak reckons he may as well fuck off and get to spending his wife’s money sooner rather than later, or 2) they are a bit worried that Farridge’s Reform mob will gain enough ground to literally kill off the entire party and this means there might not be time for things to get that bad.

    Pass the popcorn, lads.

I think as @Mangetout suggested yesterday, they must have a fair idea that the news over the next few months is not going to be good. They are trying to push one month's decent inflation figures as a significant economic recovery - they must know that if things were going to continue in the right direction until, say, September, it would be far more convincing. Add in a summer of small boat crossings building support for Reform.

Ok, hands up who thought it would be a good idea to send Roland to the home of the Titanic today?
    Cue the inevitable question..

Why is he even in Northern Ireland? They don't run candidates over there.

Seems like the facist playmakers are running some sort of fake play with the (current) quarterback. I can't quite work out where it's going. Does it end in some elaborate quarterback sneak for a touchdown, or are they trying to get him fatally injured so that nobody criticises them for putting in the second string?

Looks like a lot of them are looking to avoid the embarrassment of their fellow Torys in the 97 election. This way they don’t have to stand there with a stupid look on their face whilst getting mugged off by a bloke dressed as widow twanky/a dustbin/bag of cocaine.

A shame. But there’ll still be a few laughs to be had come results night.

Foolish. There's a whole future career making tv programs on public transport wearing ill advised trousers for the defining loser of this election.

I've been getting very stressed about the leasehold bill today. Fuck them for putting me in this position.

Did it not just pass today? The rent bill died but leasehold was voted into law.

Honestly I'm still catching up. I think it was heavily amended - they removed the ground rent cap didn't they? Which was one of the key things.

It was the last day of the term today so I've been in the pub garden nearby with 7-8 other parents. Bit drunk.
