I mean.. it says ‘talkback community’ right at the top of every page. What do you think that means?

I see that Labour have now "found" the £20bn shortfall that everyone (apart from the Tory and Labour parties) said was there before the election.

But some sensible policy announcements. Fuel allowance for the wealthy pensioners is rightly gone and VAT on private school fees rightfully introduced. As well as honouring independent pay reviews across the public sector.

I’m sure some will be, my parents couldn’t understand why they were given it.

Looks like it's going to be means tested, so he may still qualify?

From what I read it's only if you're on pension credits or other income supplements. He's got several pensions and still brings in money from consulting, and has no need at all of government fuel subsidies. He's just of the typical small minded conservative mindset that it's only welfare if someone else is getting it.

Mrs. Seán Snr. will be also. She never quite understood why she got it to be fair.

I’ll be full on Tommy Robinson before you know it.

Although the Tories are unhappy that wealthy pensioners won’t be receiving this benefit. But I suppose they want to look after their base.

My mum's losing it. She has full state pension and nothing else. Her sister keeps it, not full state pension, so pension credit tops her up and therefore she gets winter fuel payment.

    Poorly thought through.
