No Reform candidate for me, but the “non-political” village forum is full of posts asking for one and then people saying they’re going to write Reform on their ballot paper because “that will show them”. No explanation of who “them” is.
(Village businesswoman took over the forum after her hospitality business got some bad reviews on it. She heavily censors the posts).

Potholes. I forgot to mention potholes. I think Bozzidents rate that as more important than boat-stopping. Thankfully I have yet to see any suggestions of using immigrants to fill the potholes.

To be fair anyone in Bolsover worried about a nautical invasion should be sectioned.

Well there is a castle to lock them up in. Not sure it has a dungeon though.
I'm also not sure how navigable the river Doe Lea is. Better fill it with raw sewage just in case.

I shall be getting a good nights sleep. In order to be fresh to confront the new challenges given to us by our corrupt propaganda led faux democratic process and the conclusions of a largely idiotic electorate that get to ruin my life in ever more convoluted and fiendish ways.

Anyone else hearing Ric from the Young Ones?

I was thinking another of Mayall's characters - Kevin Turvey.

Just had another sponsored FB post from Natalie Fleet, promising to sort out the miners pension scandal. I'm not familiar with what that is exactly (I'll look it up) but it seemed to go down well judging by the replies.

Didn't take long for the article to mention Boris lying. Wonder how far 30p Lee got with 'taking it up with the Government'?

I’m slightly annoyed as I will be away for this one. It could rival ‘97 in terms of seeing some of the big beasts topple.

More annoying is that I applied for a postal vote and have not received voting papers and I go away tonight. We are in one of those constituencies (Henley and Thame) which has been Tory forever (Heseltine, BoJo) but could fall to the LibDems. It’s pretty tight. I was going to lend my vote to the LibDems but looks like I can’t.

You can apply for a proxy vote. (though you need someone you can trust to vote on your behalf)

This is what I’m hoping to do as I was just reregistered in the Spring.

Even I submitted an application to vote. Does the proxy need to vote in your constituency polling booth, or can it be anywhere?

I was just looking up how to switch from postal to proxy when the forms arrived.

Fuck those Tory-boys. I’m part of the revolution now

Not sure. It doesn’t explicitly say on the opening page. Once I put it in motion, hopefully it’ll explain more. Have a friend who was happy to oblige but in a different constituency.

Surely it has to be in your constituency? Otherwise that would be very ripe for abuse. Not sure about same booth/ward though?

Looking at some of the MRP models, I have come up with a meaning for supermajority. If Labour get 450 seats and the next party gets 80, then they could split off 100 MPs to “Labour B”, make them the official opposition and still have a majority as “Labour A”.

The vote would have to count in your own constituency, but could it be placed somewhere else.
Ain't gonna work for me unless one of you lot goes to Burgess Hill.

Proxy must be in your constituency. When I lived overseas, I voted by proxy but first needed to remember where I was last on the electoral roll. My cousin drove from Arnold to Basford to cast my vote.

In my Conservative constituency, lots of stuff through the door from the Lib Dems. Nothing from Labour. I think there was something Conservative but it went in the bin so fast I'll never be sure. Looks like Labour have given up to allow the Lib Dems to take the second safest Tory seat in Wales.
