My apologies for trying to understand what the merry fuck someone who goes to watch notts for entertainment is on about.

Despite my immediate response being tepid, I now find myself actually excited by Ange.
This isn't a good sign, since I was lukewarm about Nuno, but it seems to be how my subconscious has landed.

I was lukewarm about Nuno when he arrived, and not much different when he left. I feel the same about Ange until he gives me reason to be otherwise. Prior to SSC, I can't remember the last manager I was particularly fond of. I liked Calderwood more than many did, I suppose.

Just to be clear (since you seem determined not to be), would you also be happy with 17th, winning Europa & Ange still in post? Or does your happiness at least partly depend on the lack of Ange?

I'd be delighted with 1st, Europa and Angie still in charge. Hope that helps.

Doesn't really help because once again you didn't answer the question I asked. Hope that helps.

Sabri. I seem to remember quite liking Montanier at the time but that was more in hope and blind optimism based on nothing at all.

Was Montannier the handsome cheese merchant?

You're right, Sabri was very likeable even though the football was utter dross at times. He just kept getting away with it, until he spectacularly didn't in that miserable game against Stoke.

Both Smoochie and le grand fromage were nice men.

Not great coaches at the level.

A mate of mine (Cheltenham fan) still talks about that night. We went to the pub to watch it. They wouldn't put Forest on, so we had to watch it on my phone. I was just almost silent and in utter disbelief that it was happening. He was trying to stifle his laughter. It was a weird evening. Utter shock.

Sabri's Stamina Shithouse Show was Surprisingly Successful. Until the squad returned from lockdown laughably unfit and further disadvantaged by the increase in subs allowed.

Wasn't that game in the middle of lockdown when the pubs were closed?

Can't have been, as I was definitely in a pub. Maybe one of those periods where they were open but with social distancing and table service.

22nd July 2020. So according to this: www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/sites/default/files/2022-12/timeline-coronavirus-lockdown-december-2021.pdf unless you were in Leicester, pubs were open.

Ange Postecoglou has become the first permanent Nottingham Forest manager for 100 years to fail to win any of his first six games in charge of the club.

Wasn’t he the first to go five games without a win? He’s just stretching the record to make it unbeatable now.

Percy has weighed in, saying that Postecoglou's future is "in serious doubt". He's generally got the inside track, so fingers crossed.
