I am not in the best if the moods at the moment. Nothing to do with football as it happens as things are kicking off in Chicago with Federal raids on poor innocent Civilians all in the name of "Illegal Immigrants, Cartels". People are being snatched off the streets and even when proved to be legal they are not being released. A whole apartment block was attacked by 300 federal troops/officers/arseholes and the residents were Black Americans. They had all their property destroyed and left zip tied in the streets after being dragged out of bed in the middle of the night. They were released eventually but came back to nothing. Everything gone or broken. On top of that, New White House orders to call anyone exposing these fuckers are now considered domestic terrorists. Lovely...

So with this going on I looked to the football to at least take my mind of things for a while. No tactics Ange has not improved the team. With half the defence missing, I will be interested to see if he can manage to pull a Nuno and surprise the Geordies at their "best atmosphere in the premier League", stadium. A lot of us are fearing the worst.

I think no mates Antony Elanga who probably misses his Forest buddies after his Swedish compatriots fucked off is going to have a field day if he plays. Gordon on one side, Elanga on the other and a very slow defence what could go wrong? is the plan to keep the ball so they don't get it... Hmm.

So this could be the last game of Ange ball for the Garibaldi. No-one else wants to do the thread so here I am.

If we managed to keep a clean sheet I may have a stroke. As a Caveat. Newcastle aren't very good this season, but they have very tall players and we don't defend anything popped into the box. Plan? What Plans? We just outscore the opposition. Piece of piss..

On the bright side, maybe we can get a German manager who can steady the ship if this goes wrong on Sunday. Or Amorin....

It's written in the stars. we win 0-3

    Chicago: Cheerful.

Mail reporting Ángie faces axe in international break if Sunday doesn’t go well.

Same guy who said Hutchinson was in line for a start last night, so I'm not convinced he's much of an insider.

Charlotte Duncker in the times says he's under no threat. (Which shouldn't need saying- it's been less than a month. )

To beat Newcastle, we will need a plan to both stop them and assert ourselves. It is possible. There are ways we can stop them, there are ways we can break them down.

I just don't have any confidence in any plan materialising for the foreseeable.

I think we'd need Postecoglou to abandon his principles and just set out to spoil and disrupt. And if he does that and it works, it doesn't really move us forward overall.

We lose 4-1, Ange leaves on Monday morning.

    Is that Australian time?

In his press conference he said the rebuild isn't complete.

We don't need a fucking rebuild you massive weapon. This is the entire problem.

I can see a point in the future where he gets us scoring goals. However I can't see a point anytime soon where he stops us conceeding them.

    5-0 loss.

Ange cuddles the baby deer from last night for the 90 minutes.

    Ange stays in charge.

This is where I am. In fact it’s entirely possible that we hammer someone at some point. But there doesn’t seem to be anything in his approach that’s sustainable. So on balance I’m hoping for a reasonably quick and reasonably painless end.

She said he wasn’t under immediate threat but that might change if we lose Sunday. Which is fairly immediate in my book.

Fastest sacking in PL history is 41 days, Les Reed at Charlton. Good chance the fraud beats that.

I do wish Russ would climb down off the fence and tell us how he really feels about the new manager. I'm not sure I understand if he's for or against his appointment...

  • 3 Oct 2025, 7:04 p.m.

If we lose at Newcastle on the back of last night's crowd reaction it's very hard to imagine him leading the team against Chelsea. Just becomes untenable.

With Aina and Murillo sidelined, I can't see anyone stopping us conceding. We're shipping goals under Ange, but Nuno didn't have a clean sheet in his last 12 competitive games as manager. There are, of course, the 5 clean sheets in the 7 pre-season games, but we didn't score in 6 of those games either.
