I can't remember much about RDR2 apart from attempting to ride across one of the railway bridges and having a train plough into me and hunting one of the legendary animals only for it to fall dead into the river and sink, meaning I couldn't get the pelt.
That was a fuck's sake and a half.
RDR2 is a massive narrative game - you can follow the missions which will see you being a part of a massive story with many twists and turns along the way or you can just fuck off into the wilderness and do your own thing following side quests or just fucking about.
Because it’s such a mahoosive sandbox it can feel a bit slow at first as the game teases the areas out and the characters out bit by bit. It’s definitely a marathon not a sprint. There are so many characters and gangs that it can take a while to proper get into it.
That said, if you fancy a blast ‘em up head North east to Vandeburg for a fight - the surrounding wilderness also has some hills have eyes fellas that like your purdy mouth. Or head South east into the gator swamps at night… or find the Aberdeen pig farm…
Once you pick up where you need to be - it’s basically GTA with horses and better characters.
