I don’t think anyone thinks a point settles the question. A lot will depend on whether Marinakis seeks opinions about how well we played and the fight in the side, or just if he looks at the table
Happy hat: we got a good away point against a team in respectable form where we don't usually get much
Unhappy hat: we threw away another lead
Concerned hat: We get better results as a defensive outfit
Philosophical hat: for all the recruitment, we are weaker in goal, at full-back and up front, whether it's personnel, fitness or form. We have way too many centrebacks..
That was very funny. When we were in Wolverhampton your brother was trying to shag my wife which was rather funny. The apology was even funnier. I may have worked all day today and drunk a shit load of Bourbon coming home. We played well and should have won. Cooper is fucked but I would keep him. Turner is the best keeper and Toffolo was man of the match even though he really really should have scored a second.
Didn’t watch the game but did see the highlights on MOTD. Shame Toff missed the other header in the 2nd half which was arguably a better chance than the first. From what I’ve heard it seems at least some of the players are still playing for the manager ;)
An acceptable FULL STOP under the circumstances but no more please.
Elanga and Wile E also came agonizingly close which says a lot, I think. As every game the last season and (almost) a half has felt to me, it’s extremely fine margins between looking really rather good in patches and nicking games versus getting absolutely tonked out of sight. It’s not great for the blood pressure but I genuinely don’t know what else people were expecting. A nail biting 17th again this season I feel. I know a great deal of money has been spent but between us and Chelsea, etc, etc…
