My thoughts: a good performance that deserved at least a point; Delap led the line very well; Dominguez was decent but we really missed MGW; we also missed Jesus; defence was pretty sound and Diomande is coming along well; the crowd was up for it; the ref did his job as a top six appointee; Arsenal got a flukey winner, the sort of rub of the green that isn’t going our way at the moment; we won’t finish in the top 8 but we’ll be ok… eventually.

I pretty much agree with Charlie (although I'm less convinced on the crowd - it did feel a touch better though yesterday).

I think it's pretty hard to be critical of the crowd at the moment. For people who only go to home games, which is obviously most, it's been miserable for a long time.

Oh yeah, I know I'm part of the problem. and it is hard to get up for it when we've not scored at home all season, and only won once this year (in a game where we dreadful for at least 45 minutes of it).

Yep. Just bought my Chelsea tickets. £60. It's a tough sell when you can be pretty sure we are going to lose, and doubtful we'll even score a goal.

We need to get some of the atmosphere back we had in our fist season after promotion. There's a lot to be said for crowd warming and pre-match entertainment in this space that is just untapped. I am not saying wheel out psycho or cooper to do a fist pump but maybe someone to either raise the tempo like that or even a comedian like Bernie Clifton to relax the crowd foe 30 minutes might break the bad.
