Thankfully not here, but I’ve seen a lot of knee-jerk panic in some places about Forest.

This is the form of the clubs from 3rd to 10th since 1st December (assuming the Liverpool - Newcastle finishes 2-0):

    Forest P14 W8 D2 L4 F28 A21 Pts 26
    Villa P17 W7 D5 L5 F23 A27 Pts 26
    Muff P14 W7 D4 L3 F25 A13 Pts 25
    Newcastle P14 W8 D1 L5 F32 A24 Pts 25
    Man City P15 W7 D3 L5 F28 A18 Pts 24
    Chelsea P15 W7 D3 L5 F29 A22 Pts 24
    Fulham P15 W6 D6 L3 F23 A17 Pts 24
    Brighton P14 W5 D5 L4 F22 A22 Pts 20

We have just 1 more of this very tough run of fixtures to go - avoid defeat vs City at a minimum & we’ll still be in a good place. I suspect we might finish lower than 3rd, but in a European place of some sort. Which would be a stunning achievement.

I know it feels as though everyone is catching up, but the facts don’t actually bear that out - not least because, though we’ve lost a few, before this evening we hadn’t drawn many - whereas Fulham, for example, followed a couple of eye-catching wins with a 0-0 draw at home to Saints, which undoes a lot of the hard work. You can afford the odd defeat (& actually we’ve lost only 1 more than some, & less than several) if you win most of the non-defeats (if you see what I mean)… as we have. Our 2 draws in this period are the Liverpool & Arsenal games, so hardly a disaster.

Keep the faith! Our final 10 games are less daunting than most of our rivals, not least because a lot of them have to play one another.

Well done on the thread responsibility Ingo. Clearly the change helped.

    Taiwo looked good coming on.

Try turning your eyes off, then on again.

He looked like he had no idea where to run.

My eyes are fine. You (Tricky) are dental drugged out so I think I may have more vision than you right now He robbed a couple of defenders and started attacks. Something Chris didn't do. He also was very physical with Saliba and held his own. He didn't look out of place and as mentioned made their backline quite uncomfortable. I think we could have won it at the end as Danilo and Yatesy made a difference. Our Ryan got stuck in and won foul after foul and put himself about and Barry glided around linking play. Just a little extra luck and Hudson Adoi could have kept his shot down or connected on the Anderson pass.

I also think we showed them too much respect and should have gone after them a little more. Like I said, Ryan doesn't give two hoots and bothers everyone. A bit more aggression needed against Citeh and we break the PEP curse. No more of this passive shit. We were better positionally today but it wasn't until later in the second that the runs and passes were having an effect.

Oh and Shady is a trolling Bellend.

    Chicago: Not altogether unsatisfied.

You have to laugh at the BBC ratings (contributed by the public). Forest had ten players with marks over 7. Arsenal one over 5.

Thought Yatesy did a very good job for 20 mins. Delighted with that point. Arsenal are fucking dull but our defending had a huge part in that. Thought Milenokivic was superb. Especially considering he was booked so early.

6 points ahead of 10th with 11 games remaning. And 10th would have been an excellent season.
It's a fantastic point in isolation, and it also shows that we haven't gone off the proverbial "found out" cliff.

One thing that was notable was how bad we were once Arsenal were in a set defence. Most of the time, if we weren't breaking, it was just a matter of time before the ball was either lost carelessly or ended up back at the feet of Sels. Good as Milenkovic is, you can see why he's with us and it's because he can't play with the ball.

Out of interest, was there anything in the penalty shout in the first half? From the other end it like a tangle of legs, that would have harsh to give but probably wasn't going to be overturned either way.

    About what I thought then.

Still think it's unbelievably good that, after we've played Man City, we'll be sitting in a probable champions league position, ready to tuck into the bottom half* for the rest of the season.

    • All premier league games, apart from Southampton, are difficult and we'll have to play well to get anything from any of those games.
