Interesting one this. For obvious reasons we are absolutely desperate for a win. But it's City. We're almost certain to lose. Glasner wants to mix things up, ok, maybe he makes some changes to the team or shape - but then we are almost certain to lose anyway so it's hard to tell if his changes are a success or not.

On team selection, it must be very tempting to bring Jesus in, but we're going to have fuck all of the ball and you'd probably want N'Doye's pace on the counter? Though personally I'd put Jesus back in.

Defensively, sorry Milenkovic, but senior player or not things haven't been good for you the last couple of weeks. Not really your fault I don't think, but again let's try something else and hope it sticks - I'm bringing Diomande in to the back three. Murillo, Diomande, Cunha. I would have given Murillo a stern talking to during the week about his defending.

Neco is out, so I guess Aina will be at LWB with Munoz at RWB.
McAtee and I would bring Sangare in.
Jesus, Delap and Morgan up top.

I thought Nico is out, not Neco?

Even though the visitors played in Germany last night and thus have less preparation time they have better players / rotation options and even though they haven't exactly been rock solid at the back they are rather proficient at sticking the ball in the net.
And even if that fails I expect VAR, VAR will keep scores apart... again, to ensure a division of joy.

Bunglecunt FC nil Mancheater Cheatty not nil.

I will hold off opening a beer until half time, unless Cheatty score before that.

I'm getting the train on Saturday. It's gonna need more beer than I can drive on.

The Big Red Train fires up its engine.

    4-0 to the good guys.

Shagger (autocorrected to shatter, I might need to use that instead) with a 35 yarder. Delap with a hat-trick.

I guess that means Glasner won't change a thing and still say the players don't get it.

Shame about Dominguez as he is built for games like this...

Is Jesus ready? I would play him. Of course N'Doye will play and both Aina, sangare and CHO will be playing cards on the bench.

    Won't get battered. Won't win.

Chicago: Likely to be watching the definition of insanity...

Nico not Neco... Put some glasses on Granddad!

Only if we can put the ball in him.

Flicking through the book of football cliches, a complete lack of expectation and an obvious bogeyman to spark a big atmosphere should combine for a home win.

Which would be something of a filip.
