You will recall, I hope, that previously I have listened to Man City (H) and Brighton (H) while traveling to/in Montreal, with results that you know.

On Saturday morning when the Chelsea game is on I will be traveling to/in Montreal.....

It's at 2am here, and, even though I clearly contribute massively to our success, I can't see me making that one.

If any of the four teams we are interested in pick up points this weekend, the odds and those "supercomputer" predictors will move in their favour and if any win it'll be a big swing (unless we all win!). And the chances of all four losing (especially when three of the teams are at home) is not that high.

If we are outside the bottom 3 after this round of fixtures, I reckon we'll stay there. And it's a little more even with everyone left with one home and one away to go.

Yes I know there's a lot more to it than that.

I also checked and, because Leeds and Leicester play after us next week, there's no way we can be safe going into the Arsenal game but we would be safe with 4 points from these two if Leeds and Leicester both lose this weekend, or one of them loses and Everton pick up less than two points from their next two games.

Everyone has their final game of the season at home .... Except us. Could make a big difference.

…all the more reason to get it done by beating Chelsea & the Arse, then

Quite. I think we need to have it done by then or we're in trouble.

    This is not correct.

I am somewhat comforted by the fact that Chelsea won a match after a losing streak. It's usually us that turns the opposition form around therefore I'm hopeful of at least a draw.

Long shot I know, but if anyone happens to find themselves with a spare ticket for the game, or hear of one, please let me know. Ta.

I'm still hoping 33 will be enough.

Two big disappointments for me this weekend:

    1) Everton winning by loads, obvs. But also Leeds not collapsing agaianst City, and even Leicester scoring three during their thumping. So none of these teams feels down and out. (Southampton do.)

    2) The Leeds' defeat was only by the odd goal and not by 10. And that our "5-2" lead became 4-3 in a couple of minutes. Our goal difference means we're only really 2.5 points ahead of Leeds and Leicester, not the full 3.

    So...

I think we might need four more points.

Chelsea obviously have a lot of talent in their squad. But they're only 9 points ahead of us, they have nothing to play for, and they don't have anything to prove to the manager given everyone knows he won't be there next year. People are talking about Palace being on the beach already but Chelsea are even more so. It won't be easy but if we go in there with a purpose and a plan I don't think it's the wildest of fantasies that we could come away with something.

And if Awoniyi plays like he did vs Southampton with decent supply, he will score. Ive got a feeling he will be a streaky player.

Neither does my Chelsea-supporting mate at work.
