Well that is the ultimate of Jokes then. I thought Rob jones was meant to be the fourth official.
FUCK THE PREMIER LEAGUE!
Anyway, I am joking because if we get relegated it's almost impossible to watch Forest in the Championship and even though I am pissed off I do love watching us, even if it is making me cross.
Just for the record, our full backs were fine. Neco and Toffs were solid. Yates was better than Sangare who looks full of mistakes at the moment. Just want someone with some balls to yell at the team and tell them to get stuck in and attack rather than play safe. Again, Brighton really weren't better than us but we do make a lot of cock ups that seem to be punished.
God how I miss Cooper. This is just a diet of gruel on the pitch and an utterly miserable and paranoid manager off it. It takes a special, unifying force to hold together a club after a relegation. That would have been Cooper as it sure as hell isn’t Nuno.
Not at all, the Everton match at home under Coops was just as awful, but we threw away an awful lot more when we got rid of him than just a manager on a poor run. The whole club seems to feel on the verge of imploding right now
Cooper was operating at a more successful level than any other aspect of our organisation. As far as I can see. Unlike the sort of response that you might expect to see in a successful operation, we elected to undermine him, and force him out, for taking the light from the other half arsed bits.
For me 'the club' was a long way down that path. What you are now seeing is what it looks like, without the good bits.
None of this is Nuno's fault. He is what he is. I expect that we will continue to reap the rewards of our recruitment, and seeing what we actually are without generational change management providing the smoke and mirrors.
No 'the club' didn't have to undermine the manager because he was well liked. No we didn't have to buy almost exclusively unproven players at the level who are struggling to train up to that level (cf Ross Barclay). No we didn't have to waste so much on speculative shit that caused us to breach P&S.
Personally I'm glad that Cooper isn't here to take the credit, and I thoroughly expect him to go on to do well at a good job. Me? I'm not going to bother finding out where Gillingham play these days. Fuck that.
... and no, I don't want the council to sell the freehold on the ground to these, or any other, owners. The moment we do it will be lost to us. .... and there 'aint a lot else left.
I'd quite happily prefer an environment where the manager gets cheered after a 5-0 away defeat over the increasing apathy we're seeing now as the club sleepwalks to relegation. In a few years time, you'll look back and realise how magical it was with SSC as manager, and how tepid it has otherwise been supporting Forest in recent times.
We've lost 4 games in a row, all of which we've been in, to teams in the top 8. There's a lot of Chicken Little going on in here, you're a bunch of middle aged men and you probably all need to be a little less hormonal about it.
We've got games coming up against Fulham and Spurs and we're probably going to lose those as well. They don't really matter, so maybe come to terms with it now. Luton, Palace and Everton do.
Did you watch the shit yesterday? Against a team who never even tried!
Luton will be ahead of us before KO after points deduction and as fired up as possible. Pumping balls in the box which we cannot deal with week in week out.
Agree that we've got to stop this feeling sorry for ourselves bollocks. Our defeats aren't down to refs and VAR. As I've mentioned before, I worry that we simply don't have the cojones for a relegation scrap, which is what we're most definitely in now.
