I'd take a point in a heartbeat if offered.

I wasn't there, but based on the stream I watched, I'd say this was harsh. Wood and Origi both had good opportunities, and our keeper wasn't exactly overly worked.

Unsurprisingly, Dermot Gallagher and the rest on Sky's Ref Watch cannot understand why it wasn't a red card.

I am of the view that we likely wouldn't have done anything against 10, but who knows? Would've been interesting to have tried at least.

Wood was a half-chance. Even the likes of Salah, Haaland, Watkins etc would have struggled to put that away.

Origi on the other hand, fucks sake.

Agreed Wood did well to get a shot away.

Origi was down the other end but he's not a man I would be putting money on to score a one on one.

My point originally was that whilst you could say Brighton are top 8 and thus what do we expect to get, on the day they were average to poor, didn't really trouble our keeper (one save from a header first half is all I remember), yet we lost.

Bournemouth away similar, that was a very winnable game.

But we don't win winnable games, don't take good chances we create and concede soft goals from set pieces.

But we are suddenly going to change all that when we play those rubbish teams around us in the table.

Elanga's vs the Bindippers was easier - Origi was at an angle, Elanga was running straight down the middle.

That’s the way I saw it.

At the risk of being branded a happy clapper, maybe we deserve some credit for them being average to poor.

FWIW, I think we're probably down, so I'm not getting carried away, especially with most of our 'must-win' games being away. Just thought we were OK and a bit unlucky on Sunday.

We were Dire. Brighton looked incredibly average because half their team is missing and they scored a lucky goal and then kept us at bay very easily. The Nuno lineup was terrible and unbalanced and I have to hope it was because there were players carrying knocks. Wood was isolated again like earlier in the season and then put on kouyate at the end when we were chasing the game.

We looked lackluster and incohesive. Worst I have seen all season apart from fool-ham.

I hope it was an aberration and we find our style again but it looked hopeless yesterday.

I hope Felipe and Niakate play against Luton as they are going to be pumping high balls in and we have to be ready.

    Fuck poo-ton.

And fuck the premier league and FFP and everything else.

I think with a points reduction we are down too. Let’s hope we get some mercy.

Chicago: Trying to put a brave face on it.

You'll have someone claiming that you think Murillo is shit if you aren't careful, unless you are thinking of Niakhate at left-back, because ... no.

If we are worried about them putting crosses in our box (and we should be), Boly would the obvious selection.

Back three against Poo-ton. You know what they are going to be doing.

Need the big lads there with their big heads. Murillo still plays because we need passes from the back line. Time for Nuno to earn his corn.

No-one is shit by the way but we need to be more cohesive. I have no problem with five in midfield even if they are watching it fly over their heads. if we get the ball back then we will dominate them. I have no Problem with Yatesy kicking the crap out of Ross Barkley. Without him they are half the side.

    Anyway as you were...

    Chicago: Still sleep deprived.

Or we show that we've the better footballers and let them worry about us.

    No, me neither.

Have we? How are you defining 'better'? Who is 'better' than Ross Barclay?

  • jamesobhelp_outline

It's Barkley and he's having a decent season but you're getting really carried away.

    Projection. Trolling or attention seeking.

    I'm just asking questions.
