Sunday's fixtures are weird. Villa v Spurs kicks off at 1, Forest and West Ham v Burnley kick off at 2, Liverpool v City kicks off at 3:45. Any reason why they're all crammed together like that?

Anyway, this is the start of a massively important run for us. I still have belief that we won't get a deduction but we can put enough space between us and the bottom three that it doesn't matter. Brighton are not in a good run of form, 1 win in their last 6 in all competitions and no goals in their last 3. I believe Nuno will set us out to attack them early because the worst thing we can do is let them settle and find some confidence. Danilo back in for Yates, and if he's fit I'd probably bring Tavares back at Toffolo's expense. Not sure whether I'd have CHO or Origi if both are fit and available.

I will be attempting to watch this game in Chicago O'Hare airport if I can make Fubo work with my VPN, but I rather suspect I'll be listening to it on Partridge.

We are close enough to the airport for you to come over, have breakfast watch the game and then fuck off back to the airport. Not that I am offering mind...

Shit match thread title by the way...

    Chicago: Close by.

It's a sub 3 hour layover and my experience of connecting in O'Hare is that you can expect to lose at least an hour of that to delays. Even on an early flight out of MTL they'll find a way to be late. I fucking hate connecting in Chicago.

With our punishment supposedly being announced next Friday and Luton playing their game in hand midweek, followed by us v Luton next week, the next 8 days are about as critical as it gets. By next Saturday night, we could be 10 points clear of Luton or 11 points behind. So, safe or down, barring an appeal.

Feel like the narrative around this game has gone too far in the direction of “good time to be playing them” which is a worry.

Dreadful thread title will lead to an apathetic performance by the players. FFS Russ.

Also Dominguez, Boly and Wood all pretty prominent in the pre match training clips, which is a good sign.

Can't believe how happy I was to hear that Wood is back in training.

We are not getting a points reduction as we worked with the PL during the summer months and were transparent. Both Fester and Chelski have lost way more money than us and it looks like our local rivals may escape a punishment due to the EFL and the Prem not really working together. Yes somehow we are the bad guys? Regardless, after the Ever-gone and Bent-ford results we have it in our hands to move up a lot. Scouser-cheat-pool fucked us last week of a very important point. Hopefully we are angry enough to give Brighton a damn good rogering up the arse, (Sorry JP).

Chicago: In it to win it.

So why have they charged us and sent the decision to an independent commission?
