The main thing for this season is to stay out of the relegation battle. At 12th and 7 points clear, that’s going bang on target so far.

It was a big win today, and reasonably comfortable, against a good side. I thought we would struggle to get much out of the game, and I'm delighted to have been so clueless.

Should be a good settler for all concerned. The fan base, and the executive, would do well to remember that this isn't easy. As Liverpool showed against Luton today.

In our ongoing comparison with last season, having slipped up at home to Luton Airport dropping 2 points we are now back Level having bettered the draw we got at home to Villa last season.

I for one hope this new feature is here to stay.

Good game today although I don't quite get all the gushing, we were well pegged in the second half and if the villa players had managed to actually get their head over it before letting fly we probably would have been fucked. But they didn't.

Real positive for me was our left hand side which is a bit of an odd couple partnership but seemed really dangerous. Also being offered such a high line we really need to have better timing than the Tricky goes a line dancing in his new cowboy boots efforts we showed today. Good we were making the opportunities but needed to make them count.

Best performance was the kid playing the last post, sad he dropped it at the end cause until then I don't think I'd heard it performed better. Hope he gets the gig full time.

That lad did really well until he lost it. Great to see so many players making him feel better.

I thought the players and the crowd response to him was brilliant.

Football crowds can be shit with chanting at times, but that was a crowd at its best.

Just seen a great pic of Murillo and him.

As he was losing it, the players twigged and started clapping, and the crowd took it up and made it a resounding cheer. It was really touching, and showed the power of the collective.

The lad might feel bad, but he shouldn't. It was a poignant and fitting tribute.

Didn’t we just used to have a minutes silence? Newcastle’s last post yesterday was dreadful.

I remember Leicester used to go big on the remembrance contest and have had the match ball delivered by some military guy jumping from a helicopter. But for obvious reasons this is now a non starter for them.

Can you imagine a helicopter, spiralling out of control, plummeting into the pitch, in a fiery hell, and then superman phoenixing from the wreckage to deliver the Nike flight?

    Goosebumps.

It's entertainment, and we are the customers. Marvel can deliver, why can't they? Give us a fucking show worthy of our investment.

I might be on a different page to everyone else but to me, Mangala has been our best midfielder this season. Dominguez was everywhere today and Sangare was much improved. There’s no way Danilo, Yates or anyone else for that matter is breaking that 3 up anytime soon (barring injury)

I like Mangala with the ball. Without it, a little less so. I haven't seen today's game so have no opinion on his performance in it.

Wanking chimp style, no doubt. I've never seen someone get so excited about a player who had next to nothing to do all day.

Not that it was genuine excitement.

The one where he set up our goal, kept skinning Matty Cash and was at the heart of almost all of our best attacking moves?

His speed and strength is just perfect when we play a game like the one today, having him and Awoniyi as our outlets with MGW playing them in..... it could win us a lot of points because there probably aren't many forwards in the league who can do that particular role as well as they do.
