While yesterday might have been a disappointment, it wasn't exactly unexpected or unforeseen. Fulham are a decent side and have started the season very well.

Important to say again that in the same time Forest have taken four points from their last three games, Brighton (who are routinely held up as what we should aspire to) have managed just one from Ipswich (h), Forest (h) and Chelsea (a).

Not much to see here from a Forest perspective, I don't think.

To be fair to Nuno. We don’t get battered. We also don’t batter people. Next week will be the bench mark on how to play against a team with momentum.

    Chicago: Hoping for some magic.

Where I am still is if we aren't in the bottom three scrap it will be very good progress, and I think what I've seen so far suggests we are good enough to be on course for that. One defeat against Fulham doesn't change that, and nor will a defeat next week to Chelsea.

I think we are unlikely to get battered by Chelsea and Nuno is fairly unlikely to encourage them by getting our back 4 to hold a line at halfway and allow their 4 rapid forwards to get in behind repeatedly, as Brighton appear to have done.

Brighton are interesting at the moment. They're playing a high line ... With Dunk and Van Hecke. If he keeps it up, it seems likely the manager is toast before Christmas, which would be very un-Brighton. For all the talk of their ideal club, the manager doesn't seem to fit their players at the moment

Not yet. Chelsea are young and have momentum. Liverpool are just Liverpool. The Anfield win was amazing but we knew what to expect. Next week will be a different kettle of fish. We actually don’t know what kind of Palmer FC will turn up. Nuno
Will have a plan. The question is will he be able to adapt if it goes awry?

Next week will tell us a lot.

Also Taiwo. If he is injured or just dropped.

    Chicago: Playing the numbers game.

One thing I just don't get is why we would go for an experimental strategy with 2 strikers when we only have 2 strikers.

If Chelsea have momentum then we might as well not bother. Everyone knows that's the most important thing ever and if you pick up the momentum and take it with you and the momentum is in their favour then how can we hope to wrestle it off them?

No wine is needed for my occasional 'people crapping on about momentum like it's The Force' irritation to surface. Perhaps you talking about Saturday's game being a trap made me think of Star Wars. It's just a shame one of our centre forwards wasn't fully operational when our Fulham friends arrived.
