Because I had to help with the cluster fcuk move due to the movers dropping like flies. I walked the equivalent of over 22 miles. Not bad for an old geezer.

Then went back to work the next day first thing.

That was Thursday and Friday. Saturday I am working early and couldn’t get out of bed. I feel like I have jet lag. Trying to wake up but feel totally fcuked. I am guessing the air quality got better and I actually could sleep more than 4 minutes.

Also what is pleasing me but after 2 months of graft my indoor row 5k time is back under 20 minutes.

Good skills. I bought a Concept 2 with the last round of Covid stimulus money.
Every time I try to get back to under 20 (I got to around 4500), however, something in me breaks and I need to take a break from rowing for an extended period. This quarter it has been my neck and shoulder giving up the ghost due to ancient injuries.
I hope to get back to rowing (so much less faff than running) as soon as I get a shot - hopefully not surgery. Although when the Dr. went over my MRI results it, uh, wasn’t great.

I do like running because it's feels like one the best bang for buck cardio but IR is less injury risk as well as being more measured, and I find I push harder rowing than running. I'm intrigued to hear how Chicago views it.

As not much good for training to run, but quite good for rowing?

Not ideal for movement based football type activities. Strengthens the upper body, when you want to be more whippet like. Probably good training for shot putting and caber tossing.

I started to feel it in my ankles and knees when I ran, so I didn’t want to add to the injury list. Especially as healthcare in the US is totally broken even with insurance. Like Ingo, I feel like (especially as I get older) I give it more rowing as well. And I rarely get off the machine with noticeable pain, which want the case after a jog.
I like football but was never particularly great at it. When I rowed in college I was told I had the build needed for someone in the middle of the eight. I gave it up after a couple of terms, though, because they made even the worst rugger buggers I’d dealt with seem progressive. Utter bellends.

"We’re sorry you didn’t get a 2024 TCS London Marathon place via the ballot, which was drawn at random. However, all is not lost – there are still plenty of ways to take on a marathon next April."

Oh well.. I'll try again next year, again. (I've applied every year for years and years)

The annual cockney ballot of disappointment. What a bunch of cunts. Peanuts. Appels and pears. Cunts.

We’re not in the slightest bit sorry you didn’t get a 2024 T(he)C(ockney)S(titchup) London Marathon place via the fixed ballot, which was not drawn at random because it's a cockney cartel. However, please still give us some cash – there are still plenty of ways to support Seb Coe's new kitchen next April, you northern pleb. Same time next year, you utter fuckface.

I've applied every year since 08. Originally on your 4th attempt you were automatically accepted but that went by the wayside with Cockney Olympic fever so I was well and truly shafted by Seb Coe, the cunt.
