For me it was the Cadland, mainly because of the beer garden and its proximity to my house. The Sharps Hazy IPA was surprisingly good though which was a bonus.

Nags head, plough, for me. Unfortunately caught plough food service, so am currently eating a Burger with extra fries.

Yesterday a cute girl described me as "built like a brick shithouse". I'm not but it felt fucking good.

Did Canada get brick shithouses like us lot then? I figured back in the day they would just go in the woods and wipe their arse on a bear or a tree or maybe moose antlers.

I knew a bloke that goes off camping on his own in the woods. If he needs a shit when he’s out he buries it ‘’so the vietcong can’t track me’’.

    I don’t think he’s Canadian though.

That's actually a good point, I've never seen one.

I've now completed a parkrun in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland (27.50 this morning).

One of the significant problems with agreeing to go for a bike ride with other people, is that now means that I have to go out in this pissing miserable weather.

    No you don’t.
Some of my friends went on a 60 miler this morning but I took one look at the sky and bailed.

As it turned out, one of them had a very ouchy moment as he got stung on the tonsils by a wasp. Has that ever happened before in the history of mankind? And in the rain??

Isn't this the time of year that all wasps scatter, and try to be a maximum level of nuisance, attempting to drink my pint, and the suchlike?

    So, probably.

    Oooh...friends. la-di-fucking-da!

P.S. Around a twenty miler, three pubs, and taking in the england match.

    I'll cope.

A question about rowing machines, which I used today, but don't tend to bother with.

When you turn the dial thing in the middle, it makes it harder to pull the handles towards me, but does it increase my 'speed' over the distance that is shown on the display? Like I would expect it does. But I wasn't convinced it did. It felt like one pull/stroke = 50 metres*. Regardless of how hard or easy that pull was.

    • 50 metres used as example distance.
