I was pleased for zak abbott this evening. He certainly looked more comfortable in a 3 than as a full back (unsurprisingly). Wasn't overly challenged but it'll do him good.

So was I until I realised we’re away in the first leg and I’m on holiday that week.
(I did leave a holiday and fly to the Europa League final in Warsaw a few years ago and fly back the next day, but my wife is still unhappy about it, so I darent try it again). -

Errr. Second team actually very good apart from lucca in the sky with diamonds and Shitato.
McAtee much better as a 10. Yatesy having a stormer and almost getting a brace. Bakwa actually good at taking corners. Then of course we bring on some of the first team and it goes pear shaped and Lucca is a wank storm.
The penos were good though.
MOM: Goal Threat. Nice finishes. Hopefully the rested players were watching. Taiwo should have a pop Like Yatesy.. Of course our Ryan was falling down which makes it an on target shot. Taiwo can do the same whilst falling on his arse.
Anyway. I watched this on massive delay with a skipping feed. Cruising and then all of a sudden extra time.... Bloody weird. had to rewind to see us pants it up...

I actually thought some of Lucca's hold up play was pretty tidy and he did a decent job bringing others into the play, he just couldn't finish a fish supper.

Assuming that'll be because everywhere else in this town shuts at 6pm apart from the Fox and Hounds which is staying open until 3am especially for Forest. Is the Garibaldi still open?
Anyway, a thoroughly enjoyable night. I've come away with the firm belief that alcohol should never be allowed in the stands in English football as every time we scored (including Yates second offside goal) a whole load of full plastic pint glasses were hurled towards the front of the stands. So my jacket is now sticky with dried beer and stinks like a brewery.
I'm mystified as to why McAtee was subbed. We were very comfortable and he was playing well, and will not be starting on Sunday.
I booked my flight to Porto and the hotel before they had finished playing. Will be a close run, because I have to get the 7.20am flight from Lisbon on the Friday morning in order to get back in time for Jules funeral.

Just had a brief chat with Fray and Jackson from Radio Nottm. Weird how I didn't know them by sight too well but recognised them by sound from the other side of the hotel foyer.
