This showed up on the local Ebay equivalent - 1965 FA Cup programme from Northampton
Maybe we should go back to being called "The Forest"

Pretty tidy 11 we put out, though
Ex Forest and Derby player Max Lowe is reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Sheffield Wednesday, after leaving Sheffield United!
They didn't like him much anyway to be honest. A successful stint with us didn't help.
Leicester fans absolutely despise him.
Sam Surridge has 9 goals in 16 games this season, including a brace last night.
So still worthy of a starting place in a bottom half championship team then… and you need to change your icon, I’m sure you can find a magnum PI image rather than a gimpy QB.
Joao Carvalho reportedly released by our Greek cousins.
Heading is banned at u8 level next season. Will result in a free kick to the opposition. Not sure what other age groups this affects.
The unknowable is whether modern footballs (and, hopefully, more awareness of concussion) means that the current and recent generations of players won't be so badly affected.
More awareness of concussion would work if players actually went off.
Football is still way behind rugby when it comes to concussion protocols. How often have we actually seen concussion subs?
There still seems a reluctance in football to recognise and treat head injuries as possible concussion (possibly because if confirmed the player would be automatically ruled out for a week or two, and no-one wants to risk that?)

This was trialled in for a few age groups last season in the Yel leagues as per the FA (U11 and below I think it was), the amount of crap it was given by the 'heading a ball never did me any harm' brigade was nauseating.
They are also changing to kick/dribble in this season to help with the no heading

True (think I saw 1 concussion sub last season?) but there's a lot more scope for concussion in rugby. Rugby's problems are much more from people being smacked in the head or violently stopped while running which doesn't happen anything like as often in football.
There are obvious problems but I'm still in favour of a full off-field concussion check for any player who stops play with a head injury. Even if that means a temporary sub while it's happening.
