Marlon Mk2 - I remember him coming over and having a go at us at MK Hockey ground because we let him know he was being exceptionally shit.

Aside of that incident, his criminal record would put him in the top tier. And he wasn’t that good for us. So fulfils both criteria.

That said, I don't remember that MKDons game… I don’t think it was the miserable 1-0 loss (which is in the Bottom 5 Forest Games I Have Witnessed)

Yes. Very near the end of his stint. Darkest before the dawn and all that.

Did Gary Megson play for us? Then he would win by a mile...

That horrible horrible cnut of a useless bastard mangy rancid manager which made it worse.

    Chicago: Smelling a winner.

Most of our managers have been cnuts, ignoring their managerial ability (or, usually, lack of)
WMD, Platt, Kinnear, Megson. Calderwood could be difficult, Hart even more so, although he's actually ok away from the role. NES is a bit hit and miss (seems to be trying really hard to be uber-pleasant and positive, but he's a goalkeeper, it doesn't come naturally)
BFR is surprisingly pleasant, as is Mick Harford. You'll struggle to find anyone to say a bad word about SSC the man (apart from a couple of jealous Greeks).

Didn't he puke in the bogs before a game, and Cloughie got rid of him because "I'm not having that"? Or did I imagine it/get him confused with someone else?

I have never said a bad word about SSC the man, primarily because I have never met him and know nothing about him. He seems like a very decent sort though.

I forget precisely what the midfield situation was when we didn’t sign him.. post-Webb, pre-Keane? Can’t help but think Cloughie’s aversion to cowboy boots may have been a reasonable stance on footwear, but sub-optimal re. football.

Think it was the summer we sold Webb. Supposedly Clough had spent a lot of time at Leicester watching McAllister and really rated him (not surprising, he was really good, after all). Bought John Sheridan on the rebound and then never played him, as he preferred Parker in the middle, which caused much grumbling at the time.
