I’ve read somewhere before that although he had a bit of raw ability he was extremely dim. If Forest were playing midweek he wouldn’t play as it would take him all week to get ready for the Saturday game. Once he was gone he wouldn’t have had this level of coaching/understanding so hasn’t made any impact anywhere since.

But he’s a millionaire and has his instagram girlfriend so doubt he really cares.

JLingz going to South Korea. I presume it's not a great standard of football, but Seoul is high on my list of places I want to visit. Apparently it's awesome.

Two goals for Lyle Taylor, who seems to have found his level.

Not so much 'found' as 'returned to'.

    He was terrific for us.

If the falling out with Joe was the low point of Cooper's time here, his management of Djed was the peak. Djed should send him a percentage of his Spurs pay every month because Steve earned it.

Sad that he’s subsequently set out to prove Warnock right.

With the lack of any compelling information and taking into account Coopers track record, isn't it just possible that Joe was a naughty boy to the level where the club found his future there untenable?

That being said, could it have been the case that was also a bit on the tardy side with us (probably not, given the (percieved ) team spirit that SSC seemed to gave cultivated and nurtured), and that actually that was the reason we weren't all too fussed about not signing him permanently?

    Not that it matters, obviously.

I'd imagine the word is out there in footballing circles that Djed has a few attitude/application issues. We took him, I guess, because we were desperate at the time to fill out the squad (hadn't another right-back from Arsenal had to go back injured?) and Djed was available because his manager couldn't get a song out of him.

Warnock may be a massive cunt but he's been around the block long enough to be a decent judge of player and character. We benefited because we had a young coach in place whose man-management is outstanding and he set to work focusing on what Djed was very good at. His confidence soared. As the season went on, the run started and we motored up the table, I suspect his professional motivation mostly took care of itself with Cooper reaping the rewards of the arm-around-the-shoulder work he'd done early on.

Player's at a real crossroads now, which, to be fair, is exactly what Warnock was saying just over two years ago when he loaned him to Forest. Up to Djed to make sure he makes the most of his considerable talent. He won't be the first or last if it goes the other way.

It's easy to mock because the football probably isn't a great standard, but he's going to be treated like a rockstar over there and he won't actually have to be that good on the pitch. It was obviously not his first choice but I don't think it's a terrible one at all.

Korea, and Seoul in particular, is very high on my list of places I want to visit.
